HI,I have been evaluating the DAC module of STM32H743IIT6 recently. However, the data provided in the data sheet does not specify the temperature conditions under which it was measured. When I conducted the high-temperature test at 125℃, the measured data exceeded the standards given in the data sheet. Could you please inform me of the temperature range within which the DAC values in the data sheet were measured? Looking forward to your reply!
Hi, I want to set up the Ethernet peripheral of the STM32H743 microcontroller using lwIP, but I’m facing a problem and I can’t get a ping response. I have reviewed some codes, but they don’t fully explain the cause of the issue. Does anyone have experience with this problem and can provide the correct configuration/settings?
Hello Community,I have Several Query Related to STM32F439 Microcontroller SPI 6 Slave DMA Mode,Let me Explain the Scenario , we have Custom Board Build Around STm32F439 micro-Controller and using HAL Stm32V27 Library Version.so we are Communicating with Different Module Via SPI6 Slave Mode using DMA, So as Power on we are Sending Around 9000 bytes of Data from Master to SPI6 Slave Micro Controller in 6 bytes of Frame, so we Observed that whenever MISO line is Coming in Between or Going in Between our Receive Data Lost and SPI went out of Sync as we are using SPI Transmit Receive DMA API for our Communication, Referencing of this Statement i have Attached my Observation and Saelee Logic Analyzer, Capture 1 Fully Working Condition , as you can see Capture 1 Grey Clock , Below one Chip Select, Pink one MOSI Data and Below there is no Moment of MISO Signal and It's working fine but sometime am Getting Capture like this in Capture 2, Grey Clock, Below one Chip Select, Pink one M
Hello Community,I got one Stranger Problem, as i was Debugging one Hang Issue there i Got in user Application we are Storing Application Checksum in Flash Address 0x0801FF0 and Accessing and Reading Back from 0x081FFF00.So in CBIT Test I get Result Pass every time but after 4 hour's Program Counter goes into Hard Fault State and in Stack we got the Issue is Coming from CBIT Function because to Accessing and Reading Back 0x081FFF00 out Bound Address, as we Correct the Address from 0x081FFF00 to 0x0801FF0 so issue got Resolved but my Doubt is why its's took 4 hour's Continuous run of Software to give hard Fault error to access Wrong Address?okay as CBIT we are Calling the Function in Every 3 Minutes , so Based on this Around 80 Execution. so Why Micro Controller took 80 Execution to Give Hard Fault Error ? why we Didn't Get Immediate hard Fault error for Accessing Wrong Address why it's took 80 Execution to give hard Fault error and why always it Consistent with 80 Execution not be
I am using STM32H7A3ZIT6Q board. While debugging I am facing an issue like "No ST-Link server detected" and also sometimes it is giving error as "Error in Lanching, Failed to execute MI command". How to solve this issue and why we are facing this issue?
Hello everyone,I'm experiencing an issue with TouchGFX 4.25.0 on a custom STM32H7-based board that we develop and sell as an OEM product, and I'm hoping someone can help me understand what might be causing it.Problem DescriptionWhen fonts and texts are configured to be stored in the external NOR Flash memory, we observe undesirable visual glitches and artifacts, particularly affecting text rendering. However, when the same fonts and texts are kept in the internal Flash, everything renders correctly without any issues.Current WorkaroundTo avoid the problem, I've modified the linker script to force FontFlashSection and TextFlashSection into internal Flash, while only ExtFlashSection (for images/assets) goes to external NOR Flash: /* TOUCHGFX Begin *********************************/ FontFlashSection : { *(FontFlashSection FontFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALIGN(0x4); } >FLASH TextFlashSection : { *(TextFlashSection TextFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALI
Hi,Could you please let me know where I can download the 3D CAD model (e.g., STEP/IGES) of the EVSPIN32G4-DUAL evaluation board?Thank you!Best regardsPelino
I'm have the HAL_I2CEx_ConfigDigitalFilter call in my H743VIT6 code with the setting of zero. The AI recomends 4 to take out 8ns noise pulses, RF; etc., but where is the STM documentation or an AN about this, and the analogue filter? Its not in the RM0433 bible as far as I can search.
I'm bringing up a very simple board that uses STM32MP135 with LAN8742A-CZ-TR Ethernet PHY as on the eval board. Unlike the eval board, however, I clock the PHY directly from the SoC: PA11/ETH1_CLK from the STM32 is connected to XTAL1/CLKIN on the PHY.I obtained the drivers from the STM32CubeMP13 package (version 1.2.0, or GitHub commit 0ef689b06775da063006da84d952d8bd48f9e5e1). Since I'm not making use of the ETH1_RX_CLK, I tell the HAL to source the 50MHz clock directly from the RCC: eth_handle.Init.ClockSelection = HAL_ETH1_REF_CLK_RCC; The Ethernet driver in stm32mp13xx_hal_etc.c (correctly) makes use of this information to set a bit in the PMCSETR register: if (heth->Init.ClockSelection == HAL_ETH1_REF_CLK_RCC) { syscfg_config |= SYSCFG_PMCSETR_ETH1_REF_CLK_SEL; } HAL_SYSCFG_ETHInterfaceSelect(syscfg_config);However, later on, an assertion fails which does not expect the RCC bit to be set in this register:#define IS_SYSCFG_
(v2.21.0+) (Cube IDE)Hello everyone,I am currently working with the STM32N6 DK 570 board for an ST Innovation Fair 2026 project and wanted to share an important observation related to binary signing and boot behavior, which may help others working on this platform especially first-time users.Since the STM32N6 series has no internal flash, the device boots only signed binaries from external memory. Unsigned .bin or .hex files generated directly by STM32CubeIDE are rejected by the hardware, which is expected, but not very clearly emphasized in the current documentation.Observed Issue: Header Alignment RequirementWhile signing binaries using STM32_SigningTool_CLI v2.21.0 and later, I faced repeated boot failures (black screen) even though the binary was correctly signed. After debugging, I observed the following:The STM32N6 ROM expects the application header at a 0x400 offsetNewer versions of the signing tool do not automatically pad or align the binaryWithout explicit alignment, the First
Hello. I have been researching how to use the STEVAL-ESC002V1 with a NUCLEO-F031K6 board to run a BLDC motor. The documentation mentions using the IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM 8.22, but I am programming with the STMCubeIDE and the MotorControl Workbench 6.3.2. Could someone help direct me on how to do this?
I want to change heap4.c to add a feature. I want the heap program to tell me, when I ask for memory and I get a Malloc Failure, I want to know the shortfall. I have a method for this, which works, but involves changing heap4.c. When I do that, any time I go back to the configuration program to change the IOC file, the program regenerates all files. Since heap4.c does not have a user section, and certainly not there, the changes are overwritten.I have a similar problem in main.c, but if I can do one source change, I can do others.
I am trying to use some machine vibration data to identify running condition. In my use case, i was able to create decision tree and configuration file in sensor with MEMS studio 2.2.0, but the sensor is not detecting any decision tree information.the decision tree information is stuck at 0x00.my decision tree label value: 1 ---> not running ( no accel vibration detection) 4 ---> running What could cause the LSM6DSV16X sensor to provide no data in the decision tree?feature.arff file few lines: using acc_v and gyr_v information.@relation 'MLC'@attribute F1_VARIANCE_ACC_V numeric@attribute F2_VARIANCE_GYR_V numeric
I'm using stm32u535RCT mcu and I've requirement of zero crossing detection using analog watchdog.I need 6 channels and configured DMA circular buffer to collect 1Kb data on each channel. Channel 5 is mapped to analog watchdog. Here I want to understand in callback how do I get channel 5 last sampled data.Should I calculate by calculating the index with help of NDTR register or how.
How to implement IGMPV3 in STM32f429ZGT6? Can anyone please guide me with
Hi - What is the best algorithm for a very low speed and low current application, <50 RPM and <1 Amp with a high resolution encoder (~4096 counts per revolution) on a 3 phase brushless motor? Do the HSO or ZEST algorithms provide any advantage over the standard FOC algorithm when running with an encoder like this? I'm assuming the FOC algorithm is better than the 6 step algorithm, is that correct? Are there any other tips for this application? Thanks
Where using a STM32G081EBY6TR 25-pin wlcsp - package This part doesn't seem to have pins for a external clock pins. Just making sure that the internal clock is sufficient to handle USB-PD. It say's that 6 to 18mhz is fine, but really its looking for 6 to 12mhz. The internal one is 16Mhz.
Hi everyone,I'm using 2 LIS2DU12 on one object. The first one is configured in continuous mode. I forward the samples directly to a computer. I use it to check the wake up triggering configuration of the second one.The second one is configured in continuous-to-FIFO mode. And I'm trying to get it to wake up when the acceleration on one axis is over 2g for at least 8.75ms. ODR is 800Hz, FS=16g, so I set :WK_THS=8WAKE_THS_W=0=> threshold = 2g x 2⁶ / 16g = 8WAKE_DUR=01 (7 ODR_time)WU_DUR_X4=1=> Wake-up duration = 7 / 800 = 8.75msThe first LIS2DU12 configured in continuous mode shows that during my tests I get 4g for over 20ms, yet the second LIS2DU12 does not wake up. But if I set the threshold to 4 (i.e. 1g according to my calculations) it does wake up, and I recover 2 very similar acquisitions. What did I misunderstand ?Here is a code snippet of the configuration of the LIS2DU12 in continuous-to-FIFO mode: lis2du12_pin_int_route_t int_route; lis2du12_status_t status; lis2du12
Hello Team,We are using SensorTile.box Pro with the STEVAL-MKI251A (LSM6DSV320X) adapter board and MEMS Studio version 2.2.0. Flashed the sensor tile box pro with the DataLogExtended.bin firmware which is available in the MEMS StudioWe have logged accelerometer Low-G and High-G data at 1.9 kHz. Additionally, we enabled and monitored interrupts from INT1 to INT10 during the test.We observed that only INT10 shows an output value of 1, while all other interrupts remain inactive.Could you please confirm from your side whether INT10 = 1 corresponds to the Free-Fall interrupt for this sensor configuration? Also, kindly let us know if this behavior is expected when using MEMS Studio 2.2.0 with SensorTile.box Pro and the STEVAL-MKI251A.Thank you for your support.Best regards,Ahilesh
Hi, Currently I working with Nucleo-H7S3L8 board and trying get XSPI interface up by trying to read memory device ID in STR OPI mode. It is not working yet.Can someone share detailed steps to get it to working stage? I am able to read id in single SPI mode. Thanks, Samiksha
Dear ST Technical Support Team,I am currently working with the EVSPIN32G4-DUAL evaluation board.I understand that this board uses a single-shunt current sensing topology, and therefore the Motor Profiler feature in Motor Pilot is not available (Profiler requires three-shunt current sensing with STO-PLL).In this context, I would like to ask for ST’s recommended procedure to obtain the following motor parameters when using EVSPIN32G4-DUAL:Stator resistance (Rs)Inductances (Ld / Lq or equivalent)Back-EMF constant (Ke)Could you please advise:Whether ST recommends specific manual measurement methods for these parameters with single-shunt hardwareWhich Application Notes or User Manuals describe this procedureAny best practices for entering these values into MC Workbench for stable FOC operationThank you for your support.Best regards,Hyunseok
Hello, I'm working with the STM32H7S7L8-DK and i want to use both USB HS and FS in device mode but it seems in cube mx that i'm unable to enable both IRQ If i enable the HS one the FS one isn't generated and same fort the other way Is it a bug and how manage this to get it work? Thanks
I am currently working with the EVSPIN32G4-DUAL board and have a question regarding the I2C pin configuration.According to the EVSPIN32G4-DUAL schematic, the I2C signals are connected to pins PC4 and PA8.However, when generating a project using MCSDK version 6.4.1 and checking the pin mapping, the I2C interface is assigned to PC9 and PC8.When I modify the project to change the I2C pins from PC9/PC8 to PC4/PA8 and then update the firmware image, the system does not operate correctly.Could you please clarify the reason for this discrepancy between the schematic and the MCSDK pin configuration, and advise on the correct way to configure the I2C pins for this board? Thank you for your support.Best regards,Pelino
We're bringing up yet another custom board with the STM32H735 as the core processor. Built the first one, handed it to the software guy, and a few minutes later he says it's broken. Won't program, won't go to DFU mode, nothing. "You must have zapped it by accident!" Grumble.....get out the hot air gun and swap the part. At least it's a QFN100 and not some BGA package. Fixed, dropped it on his desk. Go to lunch.Phone rings. "It's broken again. As soon as I downloaded code it died." Aaarrggghh! Back from lunch, steam off processor #2, install #3. This time, I'll make sure. Create a new IOC file, populate it with all the right pin settings, configure the peripherals, generate code in CubeMX, open project in CubeIDE. So far, so good. Add a couple lines to flash the debug blinkylight, hit download. Code downloads, processor goes away. No blinky. No nothin'. Vcore is at zero. On power-up, but NOT after hardware reset, there's a momentary blip on Vcore followed by a decay to ground. Some
