Am using Windows 7 Ultimate , x86. Also tried a separate Linux Ubuntu 18.04.3 PC , with same result. Can't get Virtual COM Port to enumerate using STSW-STM32102 USB driver installation package. Get, "device descriptor read/64, error -71" reported.

Trying to enumerate a STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port (COMxx), using STM's STSW-STM32102 Virtual COM Port Driver installation package, for a STM32L082 uC. Installation on two Windows 7 Ultimate x86 PCs and a Ubuntu 18.04.3 x86 PC ... unsuccessful !

Looking for proven, working Windows 7 Professional USB application driver, not DFU driver for STM32L082KZT6. Can upload and download FLASH via USB dfu OK. Host connected to uC pcb via D+, D-, GND and +5V supplies +3.3V regulator on pcb.
