Designer v4.18 no boards to be seen - to create new projects, only simulator

I am using STMCubeIDE 1.7.0 on linux computer and running designer on windows host as virtual machine ...Is that maybe the problem, that I have to expose some directories from CubeIDE?Or is it from now on "only-simulator/no-boards" a proper reality?...

Is there any possibility to add unavailable pixel format by configuration?(To be recognised also in Designer?)To me, it looks like fixed list of predefined sizes, please excuse me, if I a have missed something.Thank You.Cheerz
