Trying to find best and most reliable way when using the STM32 timers to change the timebase 'on the fly'.

Trying to install STM32CubeIDE on Windows XP, SP3, 32 bit platform, but get message from installer that states it requires 64bit OS. Is there any way around this without changing my OS. Thanks
