I have STM8L-discovery with SWIM USB link cable that has 4 connector wires (Red,Black, White & Green). Which SWIM pins do I connect the different colour wires to?

Well, the adapter cable shown has nothing to do with SWIM, but is a USB to TTL Serial Cable - Debug/Console Cable.

The STM8L-DISCOVERY doesn't need any special cables, just a mini-USB cable that plugs directly into the mini-USB jack at the top of the STM8L-DISCOVERY. You'd only need a debugger with SWIM if you want to connect it directly to the STM8 (the target MCU), but the STM8L-DISCOVERY already has the debugger ST-Link for that (on the picture above the display).
