I try to use the power consumption calculator for STM32F030F4Px, but I have some problems:
-I can`t change Interpolation ranges and as result define clock frequency below 8MHz -I don`t see Peripherals -when I start carculator my PC MPU usage jump up to 100% My OS Windows XP SP3. STM32CubeMX v4.12.0 STM32Cube v1.0 STM32CubeF0 Firmware Package V1.4.0 #stm32cubemx #pcc2015-12-17 12:45 AM
Hello,
Regarding problems you are mentioning, please find my answers hereafter:1/ Effectively on this PN, Interpolation ranges does not allow to interpolate below 8MHz, this limitation is due to lack of measurements on this PN >> I suggest to take STM32F031xx based on similar die so that you will see 8MHz.2/ On value lines in general, PCC is very limited (see power data released in datasheet) so that only All IPs ON/OFF are visible in PCC. >> I suggest to take STM32F031xx based on similar die so that you will all IPs in Peripherals tree.3/ You point regarding CPU usage when PCC is ''empty'' has been solved in 4.12 release. To avoid this issue in 4.11 release, create a sequence.I hope this helped, and thanks for your feedback.BR/Eric.a2015-12-17 03:26 AM
Thanks, it is very helpful.
But I still have 3. problem after updating to 4.12 version, or does you mean next sub-version 4.12.x? Maybe to slove it, I need first delete completly 4.11, then install 4.12? PS Thanks for very helpful tool!2015-12-17 04:49 AM
Hello,
Correct, the problem 3/ will be fixed in 4.13 release end of January in fact, sorry for the mistake in my previous answer. It's better to work with 4.12 release, and in general to use latest available release just by replacing the previous one already installed so that you will benefit from improvements, bugs fixing and also have more MCUs covered.BR/Eric.a
