Why is STMcubeIDE not detecting my device?

Hi all,

I am trying to run a program from STM32cubeIDE to my STEVAL-MKI109V3 board, however the IDE is not recognizing my board. The device is listed in Device Manager under Ports&COMs as "STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port (COM5)" so this leads me to believe that it is being recognized as an STLink by the STLink Driver however when I go to download the program from the STM32cubeIDE I get an error reading "No STLink detected. Please connect an STLink and try again."

Any ideas as to what is going on here?

Thanks in advance!!

The COM port is furnished by a different driver.

Make sure it's finding the ST-LINK on it's own, and that's not got a (!) next to it in Device Manager

Check with STM32 Cube Programmer. Seem to recall that pushing in drivers too.

Check cables, avoid hubs and docking stations.
