How do I resolve: "stm32cubeide.exe - Entry Point Not Found" when attempting to open the application.

The file "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll" as per windows does exist in C:\Windows\SysWOW64

I get the same result after installing:

 en.st-stm32cubeide_1.11.0

and

 en.st-stm32cubeide_1.11.2

Any ideas?

It seems I missed an update. The offending missing files can be installed from here:

Update for Windows 7 (KB2999226)

And yes it's an old laptop!
