Problem
Installed version 1.17 of the stmcube ide. Need the .ioc code generation feature to work. The most convenient way to do this is to login so the ide can download firmware. I have tried to login. Login failed multiple times

Tried
1. Turn off firewall
2. Run STMCube IDE as adminstrator
3. Run installer as administrator
4. Use mobile hotspot
5. Installing newer and older versions of STM
6. Installing the program on a different PC

None of the above options worked

Hello @Libelelang

Please check the following LINK :How to set the network connection parameters for S... - STMicroelectronics Community where you can find a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue.

Another suggestion is to use the latest versions of STM32CubeMX 6.17.0 and STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1, in which the ST login feature has been removed from the user interface.

@Libelelang Note that the CubeMX functionality is removed from CubeIDE in this version (and all versions since 2.0.0) - hence you must install & use the two tools separately:

But you are using a rather old version of CubeIDE - so the suggestion was to use the latest version instead.

The latest version has the advantage that it does not require any login - so your stated problem immediately disappears!

But the latest version requires that you do use CubeMX as a separate tool.
