Hi,
We are working on a product based on STM32MP157A MPU, As we thinking to update the kernel and QT version, we are looking for next OpenSTLinux 6.0 which supports scarthgap yocto and QT 6.5 LTS. When do we expect this release from ST?
Also, What will be the LTS period of krikstone, mickledore and scarthgap?

Hi @VarunKumar
As far as I know, OpenSTLinux ecosystem v6.0 is planned in few weeks (I have not the exact date). I confirm it is based on Yocto Scarthgap.
I think support of Qt6.5 is already available with Ecosystem v5.1.0 : https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-x-linux-qt/tree/v2.0.0
For LTS period of Yocto releases, see https://www.yoctoproject.org/development/releases/
Regards.

You can use STM32-OS too, which is based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and using less memory compared to OpenSTLinux.
See my signature.

Hi, @PatrickF
do you have any information now about the date of release OpenSTLinux v6.0 based on Scarthgap? Is it still planned for this year? Also, is there a chance to find out what component versions will be used? I mean: tf-a, u-boot, op-tee and kernel.
Thanks!

Will it affect the kernel configuration?

All info will be updated in wiki (which switch to v6.x while existing v5.x will go as archive)
I could already give you some info:
Kernel version will jump from 6.1 (ecosystem v5.x) to 6.6 (ecosystem v6.x)
Yocto from 4.2 (Mickledore) to 5.0 (Scarthgap)
TF-A from 2.8 to 2.10
u-Boot from 2022.10 to 2023.10
OP-TEE from 3.19.0 to 4.0.0
Regards.

Hi @PatrickF ,
I see that ST has released OpenSTLinux6.0. I still have few questions on QT6.5 release.
- I referred to https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/X-LINUX-QT_Expansion_Package and observed that officially from ST it supports to only STM32MP2 boards. can this be supported if build to STM32MP157C Hardware?
- Currently still ST supports only QT5. Any update that officially ST will be supporting QT6.5 by this Q4 year?
Please help with the above questions.
