Hi all.
I am confused about how I am supposed to provide power to the STM32MP257F-DK as it seems I am not providing enough power to the board when connecting the board to my PC via the STLINK/Power connector as the red Power LED is on and the Green LED that is meant to be on when the board is powered up is off.
I am using a USB 3.0 port from my PC, I was able to successfully power the board to use the DFU function with an PD USB prower brick pluged into STLINK/Power while I had a USB cable connected from my PC to the USB DRD port.
How am i ment to power this board when using STLINK for serial use when I cant plug in a PD power brick at the same time as use STLINK ?

I managed to solve the problem by connecting to a USB C port on my computer rather then a USB A port.

Same experience here. USB A max is 0.0A Manual states an USB C to A cable, but it's not enough. best is to find a USB-C external power Hub or use an USB C charger to USB C cable (then you loose the STLINK debug interface).. Some USB C to A cables won't power on the board even with an external DC 5A power adapter.
