STM32WB5MMGH6TR and STM32WL5MOC on the same board

Hi,

I want to integrate on the same PCB both a STM32WB5MMGH6TR and a STM32WL5MOC. Are there any issue in terms of RF interference? Are there any shielding recommendations to avoid problems while both modules are transmitting?

Thanks

Matteo

Most (all?) of the issues would be generic to co-locating any sub-GHz radio with any 2.4GHz radio - not specific to STM32.

So have you tried a general internet search on that?

eg, look at Amazon Sidewalk ...

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.
A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Hello @matteverze

As said @Andrew Neil, the interference issue is the same for all the products that include two communication modules working on different band. So, the recommendation is to always keep signal isolation between both modules. More information may be found everywhere on the web. You may also refer to the design of the STEVAL-ASTRA1B that is based on the STM32WB5MMG module and the STM32WL55JC (MCU used for the STM32WL5MOC.

Best Regards.
