Do I have to use a 32 kHz oscillator (LSE) for the STM32WB55 MCU ZigBee application?

Batuhan A.

Hello,

I am going to use a 32 MHz oscillator (LSE) for a ZigBee application on STM32WB55. Do I have to add a 32 kHz oscillator? I do not need RTC.

Best regards,

Batuhan

You can use the STM32WB55 without the LSE if you:

  • don't need an RTC and
  • don't need beaconing support and
  • don't want to synchronize internal oscillators from LSE
