STM32F429I-DISC1 Project example BSP LCD String look like salt noise

Hi

I buy a STM32F4 discovery board, and I run example from ST offical github.

The Project in STM32CubeF4-master\Projects\STM32F429I-Discovery\Examples\BSP (IDE: MDK-ARM), I think the LCD will show some string, but I got some salt noise.

Other LCD examples, ex DMA2D, it works good.

Any suggest?

I suppose there is nothing wrong with the Discovery board.

But there seems to be a bug or two in the example project. Perhaps the display orientation wrong.

Screen settings (horizontal/vertical​) wrong.

Make sure not the EVAL example.

Try some of the other DISCO examples.​
