Use a 14.7456MHz crystal with STM32G031 (32PIN) IO-Link application

Hi is it possible to use a 14.7456MHz crystal with a STM32G031 (LQFP32). If I'm right it is not possible at the data sheet, there is no OSC_OUT for this package. Or is the option missing in the data sheet? We need this crystal for an IO-Link application.

Welcome, @MGons.1, to the community!

as you have correctly noticed, the STM32G31 does not have an OSC_OUT in packages with less than 48 pins, so only an external oscillator can be used for HSE there. The more powerful brothers STM32G041 and STM32G071 have the same limitation, so you should either switch to a package with more than 32 pins or use an external oscillator circuitry for the 14.7456MHz crystal.

Good luck!
