Do you have a release date for the new STM32L4xx processors yet ?

And can I pre-order a sample ?

Thanks.

The STM32CubeL4 firmware and associated documentation has been published on ST's web site:

Almost reached Australia. I've got two STM32L476 Discovery boards on pre-order with supplier Element14. I know I could have ordered direct from Mouser, but the cost of buying one+shipping was equivalent to buying 3 boards locally ...must ...be ...patient.

STM32L476G-DISCO is sold out at Farnell - and I am sure they had at least a dozen of them yesterday...

You gotta laugh ...

I ordered the two STM32L476 Discovery boards from Element14 (26th of August) and shortly after that I got an email saying they had been shipped.

Today I rang Element14 to check why the order status hadn't progressed.

Apparently this board falls under the ''Controlled Goods List'' and I have to fill out a large form before UK Customs will release it to Australia. It would have been nice if they told me this.

To make things worse, I find out that the local distributor did have some of these boards sitting on a shelf gathering dust - and just gave them out at random when they recently had to move premises.
