Hello,

will ST offer a STM32F7 discovery board? If yes, when can we expect it?

Regards

STM has made Discovery boards available for all the members of the STM32 series, so I see no reason to think that the F7 will be an exception. General availability of the F7 is scheduled for the second quarter of 2015, so that will be the time to look for the board.

Bit of a paper launch then. Atmel's saying Q115 for general availability, with Xplained kits, which will really put a spanner in the works if it has the full FPU that ARM touts with the M7 presentation.

is orderable e.g. at Digikey. E.T.A is June 23. However there is no information available about that board. At some point some BRSTM pdf with a picture of the board was findable with search on the ST website, but that pdf has disappeared again.

What is going on?

Looking to be about $50 at launch. I do hope it was better conceived than the STM32F429I-DISCO, where the choice of package seriously limited the expansion/use options.

One might assume they had to spin the die to address some issue(s), which is not entirely a bad thing, ST has a good record of keeping the errata reasonably constrained over the years.

I saw the board on sale just today:

http://www.mouser.com/new/stmicroelectronics/stm-stm32f7-mcu-fpu/

It seems it has way more peripherals, but at the cost of exposing very few GPIO pins. That could be bad for me because I need to use both SDIO and the camera port, so if there are any pin conflicts, I would be out of luck.

It is strange that both Mouser and Digikey link the STM32F7 discovery documentation with a BRSTM32F0, a broschure for the STM32F0, quite at the opposite end of the feature scale.

The ST website still has no trace of the STM32F7 disco documentation, also ETA for the board at Digikey is tomorrow, Jun 24...

Hi,

The STM32F7 Discovery kit appeared finally on ST web site on the following

Well the manual is definitely more promising. A high density BGA device was used, a lot of peripherals built on to the board (SDRAM, SPI FLASH, SDIO, ETH-PHY USB-HS-PHY, DCMI, AUDIO, LCD), and an Arduino shield socket.

So a migration from the hybrid-breakout boards seen in prior DISCO releases.
