Look up the datasheet - the DAC is too slow, with settling times of several microseconds.

The DAC output register throughput is less relevant.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the datasheet and it shows:

Looks like I can update the DAC every 1 us but expect a settle time  up to 4 us when changing full scale 0 to 4095 ?
