New STM32F334 have high-resolution timer with 217 ps resolution,

It

's nice,

but

what

real

precision is achieved

when

the timer

used to measure the

time

between

two edges

of the signal applied

to

the processor

Hello,

The high-resolution is available solely for waveform generation. For input capture and period measurement, the external signals are resampled by the internal clock (144MHz). This corresponds to a 6.9ns resolution. What kind of resolution are you looking for? Is it for a single-shot (instantaneous) or multi-period measurement? Best regards, Vincent
