STM32F3 fake scan mode on ADC?

In the file stm32f3xx_hal_adc_ex.c of HAL Driver library it could be seen in comments follows lines:

    /*   Note: Scan mode is not present by hardware on this device, but       */     /*   emulated by software for alignment over all STM32 devices.           */ Does it mean there is no true support of Scan mode in ADC?
