STM32F103ZE: UART5 preventing SDIO to work properly?

    Given they can share the same pins, if both units are enabled they are going to clash. In such circumstances remapping the unit(s) is typically a method to fix pin muxing issues.

    PC.12 UART5_TX/SDIO_CK

    PD.02 TIM3_ETR/UART5_RX/SDIO_CMD

    Not sure how you think this isn't a pin issue, the ''AF'' setting will be any of the above connections.
