NUCLEO-F401RE Motor Controller

I'm working on a little demo board to evaluate responses of different mosfets and one of the easiest ways to do this is to construct a motor controller. Can the NUCLEO-F401RE be used like the arduino uno in the link below?

Yes, the Nucleo can certainly generate a PWM output signal.
