So, a stm32 Nucleo (little sticker indicates -F411RE) was left on my desk. I looked at tools and got System Workbench installed. I figured a first test (of myself, the board, and the tools) would be to modify LED blink program already on the board. The only source I've been able to find is V1.2.1 extracted from en.stsw-stm32143.zip.
As I go through en.DM00105928.pdf (step 4.1.4 pg 18), It would seem some things are missing. Shouldn't there be SW4STM32 directories somewhere in the source tree? Is this even the correct source to use?

Hi
nordstrand.mark
,Welcome to ou STM32 MCUs community
The provided examples under the 'STM32_Nucleo_FW_V1.2.1' package are not available using the SW4STM32 IDE. I advise you to download the package. Many examples using the SW4STM32 IDE are found under the path below: STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.0\Projects\STM32F411RE-Nucleo\Examples\.\.\SW4STM32 Khouloud.- Mark as New

Ah someone did a seagull delivery (poop and run).
I did a series of blog posts about getting started with the STM32 Discovery boards (like the Nucleo's but more complex), using the SW4STM32 tool chain.
You can find all of this on embedded.fm/blog. The index link is here:

You should find this helpful.
