Cannot run CubeMX as normal user on Win10

I've reinstalled latest version of CubeMx on Win10 1709. Now it can run only as administrator but not as a normal user.

When run as normal user it flashes a popup message, something like 'check for updates' , and dies.

I cannot open any of my .ioc files by double click from Windows explorer.

Please advise.

How to prevent CubeMX from checking any updates on startup?

Found a fix...

deleted folders %USERPROFILE%\.stm32cubemx\plugins\updater and 

%USERPROFILE%\

.stm32cubeup

Then the cube started normally and let me disable auto updates via its menu.
