Hi, I am using a Nucleo F401RE and a X-Nucleo-IHM07 shield for motor control applications. I am supplying 24V to the X-Nucleo via J1. I have removed jumper J9. I am then taking the 24V and dropping it to 5V and supplying it to the E5 pin. I have moved jumper JP5 to pins 2 and 3.
When I power on the supply, the F401RE red led blinks red slowly. However, none of my peripherals work. It is only after I press the reset button on the F401RE that everything initializes. When I do this, the red light doesn't change.
*Note: If I power on the supply, then connect to my computer, the act of connecting the usb causes the board to initialize and everything works.
