Driving slow synchronous motor with minimum vibration and most smooth pulling.

Hello,

It may sound crazy, but for minimum motor vibration and most smooth pulling around the revolution of the motor, I'm using Analog Devices DDS chips to create 2 or 3 (depending on the motor, 2 with old sync motors, 3 with new 3 phase motors) sinewave in precise controlled phase shift in between the outputs.

It is small series and the last version I made at 2011.

Now, I want to make a new version. I'm new to STM32, was using mainly 8bit PIC controllers. I read that it is more than possible now with more modern controllers to put the DDS(s) into the uC and use DAC output to put accurate sinewaves out.

Would you please where to go forward? What controller should I choose and if there is any library, appnote etc. I can start with?

Maybe motor control is not the right place to ask? For sure, normal switching of phases on an H bridge is not an option. I need sine (and cos) wave output with low distortion and phase noise, accurate phase adjustment between the 2 (or 3) output. .

Thanks!

Gabor
