The UM0427 PDF file is missing from the downloads page! :(

http://www.st.com/mcu/familiesdocs-110.html

The zip file contains only a .chm help file - there is no PDF document! :(

Dear ST7

Read this AN :

http://www.st.com/stonline/products/literature/an/15531.pdf

Page 10 :

1.2 STM32F10xxx standard peripheral library with doxygen format

The STM32F10xxx standard peripheral library comes in a new source file format. Now, all StdPeriph_Lib files use the Doxygen format to easy documentation generation and for more interactive and effective documentation usage.

The existing STM32F10xxx firmware library user manual UM0427 will be removed from the STMicroelectronics MCU website (www.st.com/mcu) and replaced by a CHM file presenting all STM32F10xxx standard peripheral library components.

Cheers,

STOne-32.

I think that's a really bad idea! :|

The trouble with stuff that's just created from code comments is that it's too ''fine-grained'' - it can't show the wood from the trees.

In addition to this level of detail, we also need an ''overview'' document that shows the ''philosophy'' and overall organisation of the library.

We need something that describes how to actually use the library  - not just fine-detail descriptions of what individual functions do.

I'm a big doxygen fan so I can see why ST did this - to make life easier for ST (but unfortunately not for you). Two solutions:

1) You convert chm to PDF

2) ST configure doxygen to also produce pdf (I know it can produce text and HTML so making a PDF should be possible).

You can find an archived copy of UM0427 User Manual, ''ARM-based 32-bit MCU STM32F101xx and STM32F103xx firmware library'' (527 pages) at:

http://www.datasheetarchive.com/UM0427-datasheet.htm

.  Scroll down the page to locate the download section. --Jon

You can download an archived copy of the entire old FW Library direct from ST - and that, obviously, includes the UM0427 PDF Manual

But that old UM0427 PDF Manual obviously refers to the old FW Library - it's not much help for use with the new library!

And where do I find this famous CHM-Document?

It's included as part of the firmware library download
