Save text file to SD card with STM32F7508-DK Card

Sule_Akcay
Associate III

I want to save a text file to the SD card with the STM32F7508-DK Card, but the code gets stuck during the formatting process of the SD card.

Can you help me how to solve this problem?

The code line is as follows.

Hello,

First, start with this example provided in STM32CubeF7 under the path https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF7/tree/master/Projects/STM32746G-Discovery/Applications/FatFs/FatFs_uSD

Second, if it does work, you need to inspire from this example, if it does not, this means that there is an issue either with your SDcard, so try with another one or a problem with the SDcard slot. In that case refer to that thread.

You really should not need to format cards, they come formatted and will be fine unless your writing damages them.

Make sure to debug DISKIO layer working with READ first.

If you can't read properly the writes will just trash the card content.
