Hi

i am using stspin240 have following doubts,

1). How to enable the current limiting feature,

2). What is the voltage have to apply on REF pin (pin-11),

3). What is criteria / must taken care conditions to measure voltage on SENSEA , SENSEB pins,

4).Also what is the reason SENSEA,SENSEB pin values are always 0.

Welcome, @ss.7, to the community!

  1. the current limiting of the STSPIN240 relates to PWM current control and is described in detail in the data sheet, section 6.3
  2. depends on the application, the range is mentioned in the data sheet, table 2
  3. SENSEA and SENSEB are monitoring the bridge currents, for the description see the first point
  4. SENSEA and SENSEB must each be connected to GND via a shunt resistor, see e.g. the block diagram in the data sheet, figure 2. The voltage at these shunts is proportional to the motor current, i.e. if no current flows, no voltage is present.

Hope that helps?
