Dear Sir/Madam,
In STEVAL-POE005V1 EVM (12V/8A) i have measured Vds voltage across the secondary synchronous MOSFET, the measured Vds across Q5 (STL90N6F7 with respect to STEVAL-POE005V1 schematic) is ~61V @84W output (with sharp spikes) but the rated Vds of Q5 is 60V. Can anyone clarify why the spike voltage is not damaging the MOSFET ? Is 60V rated MOSFET is sufficient?
