Remnants of stall detection in L6472 and L6482 datasheets

Hiho,

there are still remaining hints of stall/step loss detection (for example at the description of the FLAG pin) in the datasheets of the above mentioned ICs although they are only implemented in the L6480/L6470. That way we only realized that these features are not implemented after we were quite far into a project. Would it be possible to remove those references to avoid misunderstandings like this in the future?

Cheers,

I'm sorry the error in the documentation led to this misunderstanding.

In the latest

published on our website (Rev 5) I found no references to the stall detection feature.

one (Rev 6) there are still some references in the paragraphs dedicated to the blanking. They will be corrected in the next revision.

Thanks for your feedback

Thanks for caring about this issue. In rev5 of the L6472 datasheet step loss is still mentioned as an alarm condition for the flag pin on page 18, but you are right, this should not lead to any misunderstanding.

Thanks, I'll add the error in L6472 datasheet - page 18 in the correction list.
