Is it possible to use the SPIN3202 with a linear stage with digital end-stops?

I have a STEVAL-SPIN3202 board and I have a linear stage (2-poles, 3 phases). To prevent collision with the endings of the stage, there are connected two end-stops. (One on both ends).

Is it possible to use the STEVAL-SPIN3202 board for this setup? Or do I have to find another controller board?

Thanks in advance.

With kind regards,

Erik Houet

Hello @EHoue.1 and welcome to the ST Community.

You can connect the signal coming from the end-stops sensor to a free GPIO.

For example, referring to STEVAL-SPIN3202 schematic, you can exploit the PA5 GPIO available on test point TP9.

If you are not using the speed potentiometer you can use the PA3 through the TP4 and removing R14.

In general, you can exploit other GPIOs if you are not using the preset functions (e.g. bus voltage sensing "release" the PB1).
