Do you have a photo of your part?

I think this is a 2N6059 in a TO-3 package

I think 2NG059 isn't a valid reading of the marking, just not enough hits, or documentation

It is in deed a 2N6059. I am very grateful for your help

Except for being a Darlington transistor (higher current gain), there is nothing special about this BJT transistor.

You might consider similar transistors as replacement.

Newark seems to have the 2N6059 in stock :
