Hello, in the datasheet of STR73xF family, it is specified an external decoupling capacitor betwwen V18 and VSS with a max value equal to 100nF.
However, in the hardware getting started application note (AN2156), a 10uF tantalum in parallel is recommended. Is it ok to place a bigger capacitor than the max value specified in the datasheet?Options

Hello JNT,
You are right, only 100nF is mondatory us external decoupling capacitor to be connected between V18 pin and nearst Vss pins. The hardware getting started will be cheked and corrected in the next release. Regards, Hich ;)
