I’m seeking guidance on using the STEVAL-USBI2CFT as a voltage shifter (to 3.3V) and a communication bridge between my laptop and an MSP430 IC. According to UM3226, the STEVAL-USBI2CFT uses the FT260Q chip and should not require extra drivers. However, after connecting the board, Windows only registers it as a "USB Composite Device" and no COM port appears. A Python test resulted in the error: "could not open port 'COM3': FileNotFoundError."
Also, the provided link to the STSW-WPSTUDIO software leads to a 404 error. Has anyone else faced this, and are there alternatives?
