Hi
for a concept car I need to drive a SPI based LED strip (ws2812) . In this project RGB information to drive the LEDs will be received via can protocol.
What is the simplest automotive ST controller whioch I can use for my project? Does it come with a free tool chain?
1. What is the ceapest controller which would suit my project? Does it come with an eval board?
2. Which controller has the tool chain , which is easy to learn.Does it come with an eval board?
thx

Hello Dieter ,
I recommend you to use SPC56D-Discovery (Eval with Debugger integrated FTDI PLS)
There is CAN and DSPI IP
http://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/spc56d-discovery.html
By using, SPC5Studio it comes with the freetoolchain and Drivers associated.
Best Regards
