Does ST provides the CAN - FD driver stack for SPC56, SPC57,SPC58 and STM32G4 controllers for free?

We are selecting a controller for our new Automotive project with CAN - FD connectivity, but we want to know whether ST provides the driver stack for CAN - FD for above microcontrollers for free.

Hello,

have a look at SPC5Studio (www.st.com/spc5studio).

It includes CAN-FD driver fro SPC57 and SPC58 devices.

SPC56 devices do nt have CAN-FD

For STM32G4, please ask to STM32 section.

Regards,

Giuseppe

On the STM32 the examples are typically low level peripheral code, for real drivers and stacks you'll like need to find or port ones with the features you want.

Thank you for your valuable reply. But SPC560D controllers are with FlexCAN.

Are FlexCAN and CAN-FD same?

STM32G431CBT3 controllers are supporting CAN-FD interface. For this device, does ST provides the driver stack for CAN-FD?

CAN-FD and FlexCAN are not the sane

FlexCAN support CAN protocol but does not support CAN-FD protocol.

If you are looking at automotive microcontrollers with CAN-FD please have a look at SP57/SPC58 family
