Hi
I want to evaluate BlueNRG using the BlueNRG GUI. My setup is as follows:
I've followed the instructions found in the
and copied Virtual_COM_Port_F401RE.bin the the nucleo drive.
The virtual comm port appears and I can open it from BlueNRG GUI but BlueNRG GUI keeps asking:
''No Firmware detected on the motherboard. Update motherboard Firmware (under Tools menu).''
The proposed firmware installation procedure seems to be targeted at the STEVAL-IDB007V1 BlueNRG-1 development kit and fails with my setup.
Can anyone provide a hint how to get BlueNRG GUI working with the X-NUCLEO-IDB04A1?
Thanks!

OK, found it. The problem occurs when an USB hub is between the PC and the Nucelo board. Everything works when the board is connected directly to the PC.

Dear Dogan Yuksel,
what STM32 Nucleo board are you using with your X-NUCLEO-IDB05A1? And which version of ST-LINK/V2-1 do you have on your Nucleo?
In order to use the BlueNRG GUI, your STM32 Nucleo must be running the Virtual_COM_Port application.
If you have any issues when connecting to the BlueNRG GUI, I suggest to update the ST-LINK/V2-1 of your STM32 Nucleo. You can use either the STM32 ST-LINK Utility or the newer STM32CubeProgrammer for this.
Best regards,
Antonio

How to connect
BlueNRG GUI to SensorTile Board? Anyone did it?

Hello Girish Karnavat,
please find attached a binary image for the SensorTile that allows you to use theBlueNRG GUI.
You just need to program your SensorTile with it and then, from the BlueNRG GUI, you can open the VCOM port of your SensorTile.
Best regards,
Antonio

Hi Antonio,
What flash address this binary should be flashed? 0x08000000 or 0x08004000?
Thanks,
Girish

You can flash it at 0x08000000 with either the STM32 ST-LINK Utility or the STM32CubeProgrammer.
If you don't have any of these tools already installed and are using an STM32 Nucleo to program it, as an alternative you can also drag-n-drop the bin file to the virtual mass storage disk of your Nucleo.
Best regards,
Antonio

Hi Antonio,
I un-installed BlueNRG GUI application, and downloaded new one and trying to install it as an Administrator, But observed that it is failing in installing the Virtual COM driver on Windows10 machine.
Do you have BlueNRG GUI forWindows 10? or PC Virtual COM driver for Windows 10?
Enclosed picture for your quick reference
Thanks,
Girish

Finally the BlueNRG GUI worked.
Need to install first
-2.6.0.0-Setup
on PC followed by
, and test board programed with the above firmware
<LINK NO LONGER ACTIVE>
at
0x08000000 using STLink
than BlueNRG GUI v2.6.0 works.
Good Exercise...
Thanks
