I am finding that the BlueNRG-M2SA module's power on reset is very flaky when used with a coin cell battery. More often than not the board does not boot after the battery is inserted. You then have to wait for close to 2 minutes before trying again.
The external RC reset is as per the module data sheet, 47K to Vcc and 10nF Gnd.
The board hardware is exactly the same as used for the BlueNRG-1 based SPBTLE-1S module which did not have this issue at all. It was 100% solid.
Could it be a firmware setting?
Maybe the brown out setup?
Or is it a hardware problem.
This happens on a number of BlueNRG-M2SA boards so is not random.
