VL53L5CX status Mean

when I use VL53L5CX and get a status, then check with the table, but I still need further description than can explain STATUS means what.

It's better like the picture below. Now I meet status 2, but I do not know why this happened.

  We are sharing similar problem. I have the feeling that with a comprehensive explanation of these codes, particularly those that are not self-explanatory, we could make some better sense of a significant amount of data. In a continuous automatic measurement system employing these sensors, we cannot assume human presence to address any contextual conditions not explained by these codes. However I also feel that we are trying to extract water from rocks by attempting to interpret these status codes beyond the provided information.
