I wanted to use this sensors for person detection in Washroom pipe & urinal applications. I have tried different models of housings for sensor. But so many times, the taps are automatically turned on without any persons.
So can anyone suggest me recommend protection ratings, instructions, dimensions, materials to be followed for using this sensor. In this type of application. If possible send examples images & 3D model for reference

i'm going to recommend the Hornix coverglass. It could easily fit as an oval in your plastic case.
if you don't like the ridges, there is also a version without it.
(The ridge prevents an accumulation of dust from getting the wrong answer - but dust does not seem like an issue in your applicaiton
go to the Hornix web site, click on products, and scroll to the bottom.
They have 3 different versions for the VL53l1X.
But if you want to use a flat bit of 'glass', you should be able to get that to work.
View the youvideo at:

It will show you the problem, explain how you could build something yourself and why the Hornix solution works.
