When writing a reply, if the message includes images, parts of the post can be deleted after pressing the "Reply" button. This has happened many times over the last week. Since the data is deleted, there is no way to recover but to edit and re-enter that information.
This is a big waste of time. Why is the forum software getting worse?

This is the first line of my reply.
Here is a random image:
And here is the rest of my reply.
Edit: trying to get the bug to occur so I can document it.

But the whole message did post (less the image, of course).
Looking at the HTML before posting:
We can see where the image should be.
When I pressed the button to actually post the reply, I got the dreaded "HTML error":
@TDK I suspect that something goes wrong with whatever "changes" that does to "correct" the "error" - which causes loss of some of your post?

Yes, I wasn't able to duplicate it here. But the bug exists.
I'll screenshot before I post each time and eventually update this thread with that image.

Hi @TDK ,
Yes, please let us know when you catch the error. So far, I could not replicate. I will report it anyway to see if anything is wrong with this.
Hopefully it will function fine once we have the initial bug fix deployed.
I will keep you posted.

Lina

Here's a post where it ate the image that I inserted with the Insert Photos button. I suspect it would have also eaten any text I sent after the image.
Before posting:
And the post (I edited it to add the image back in):
