I am getting a pairing complete failed event.how to configure the authentication configuration for the central/ client?
Hi.. Geeks Hope all are doing well I'm using STM32WB Cube FW version 1.13.2 with FreeRTOS I'm facing a very weird issue for a few days Actually, I have allocated one GPIO as a sensor trigger with the Load switch Initially, GPIO is working well before the BLE starts But, after the BLE advertising and pairing with the host, I'm unable to trigger the same GPIO!If I'm not wrong then I guess, in the ideal case after the BLE advertising starts, the CPU2 will get activated At the same time, it's turning off some of the peripheral's clockAny suggestions on that ?Thanks Mahendra Sondagar
Zigbee test using 1xZC and 1xZR.For ZR to join network, the distance to ZC was limit to arround 2m. After join network, the distance ZR message to ZC can be extended to about 20m.Not understand why the join distance so short. Here's my test setup: Hardware platform STM32WB5MMG development Kit (MB1292C)Stack/Version: stm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD_fw / v1.14.1Application: Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Coord & RouterThanks.
Hello,I am currently using STM32WLE5CC MCU, which has a great feature of RTC with 32-bit sub-second wakeup counter, But I need a low cost MCU for my other non lorawan project, which also need this "RTC with 32-bit sub-second wakeup counter" feature. Please suggest MCU in Ultra low Power with RTC with 32-bit sub-second wakeup counter, and if this sub-second counter underflows, then it generates interrupt.Thank You
Hi! I'm working on STM32WLE5JC micro-controller. Is there any way to write the firmware in such a way that I don't have to send the join request every time the controller wakes up or restarts?I mean when I first time join the network, what are the specific parameters that I get in return and by saving them into the flash, retrieving them after a restart and get connected to network without sending the join request.Any help if you can, I shall be very grateful.Thank you.Regards.
I'm trying to make my custom STM32WB55 board.Recently, I succeed to start programming the STM32WB55VGY6TR but the advertisement of custom Bluetooth low energy does not start. I tested programming the Nucleo-WB55 board with the same coding and it was successfully coded and advertised custom Bluetooth. So, I can conclude that there is no problem with the code.I checked what is happening in the microcontroller using USART communication, but there is no wireless firmware version (It was 1.0.0 in the Nucleo-WB55 board) and no message regarding starting advertisements like below. Is there any possible reason it does not work?My RF structure in the custom board looks like below.
Greetings, what is the recommended frequency deviation parameter for the FSK modulation with 250 kbps bitrate?Or rather what is the dependency of RX sensitivity in relation to the FSK_FDEV parameter?I can see that the limitation is to have the modulation index > 0.5, so in this case that would mean that FSK_FDEV > 62.5 kHz and also the limitation is on BW, so FSK_FDEV < 125 kHz.In that range, what FSK_FDEV will give me the best RX sensitivity?Best regards,Domagoj
Hello everyone,I am now working with LoRaWAN_End_Node on Nucleo-WL55JC1 and I found no place to change configuration such as BW, TX power, Spreading Factor, etc. in this example (Probably, I found at wrong places). Is it possible to change those factors in this example and if not, is there other example from MX I can do that?Kind regards,Huy Nguyen.
Follow Lecture : WB Bluetooth mesh - 7 Lab 1: Creating Bluetooth Low Energy project STM32WBMMG-DKHello, I am a student who recently started the low power Ble project.I bought a nucleo-wb15cc board and am working on the project. After reading this lecture, I followed all the courses of the lecture. The build was successful without a problem, but Bluetooth is not recognized by the phone.I think it's because the chip used in the lecture is different from the chip on my board. Is there anything I should be careful about when I follow the project with nucleo-wb15cc?
CubeIDE : 1.7.0CubeMX : 6.3BSP : 1.12.1chip : STM32WB55I'm using the internal RTC of the STM32WB55. When the MCU is running the RTC works normally : the calendar can be set and the time is running correctly. When i shut the MCU power down (but still have the VBAT up), and turn it up again, the calendar of the RTC is reset. I have cleaned the init generated by cubeMX and tried to use a light initialization (NVIC and clocks) when the backup register flag is set but nothing worked:static void MX_RTC_Init(void) { hrtc.Instance = RTC; hrtc.Init.HourFormat = RTC_HOURFORMAT_24; hrtc.Init.AsynchPrediv = CFG_RTC_ASYNCH_PRESCALER; hrtc.Init.SynchPrediv = CFG_RTC_SYNCH_PRESCALER; hrtc.Init.OutPut = RTC_OUTPUT_DISABLE; hrtc.Init.OutPutPolarity = RTC_OUTPUT_POLARITY_HIGH; hrtc.Init.OutPutType = RTC_OUTPUT_TYPE_OPENDRAIN; hrtc.Init.OutPutRemap = RTC_OUTPUT_REMAP_NONE; if (HAL_RTC_Init(&hrtc) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } )RTC config : What should I have in my MX_RTC_Init() ?Thanks,
Hello everybody, I am working with a stm32wb55 and in my application I need to send the microcontroller to sleep for 5 second, wake up, perform some actions and go back to sleep.I send the micro to sleeomode using the function HAL_PWR_EnterSLEEPMode and then I use the RTC wakeup to exit the sleep mode. However, I also need to trigger an external watchdog every 200ms, and to do this I set TIM2 to generate an interrupt every 200ms and send a pulse to the external watchdog. The problem is that, due to the interrupt generated by TIM2, the system exits sleepmode every 200ms and I want to avoid that. ideally, I would like to send the micro to sleep and keep the TIM2 active without waking the system up.Is there any way to do that?Thank you.
Hello,I am trying to develop an application with STM32WB55 that checks the sensor status every 500ms and goes into power saving mode set as STOP2. The datasheet mentions that the wake up time is only about 6us. So I expected the wake up time to be very optimized. But with the test and power measurement, I get a total wake-up time of about 250us (shown in chart 3), which is very long. I tried several clock configurations to get the most optimized power consumption possible. The measurements are made with the X-NUCLEO-LPM and the STM32Cube Monitor-Power Tool.Do you have any idea how to reduce it?
What parameters of 'aci_gap_set_authentication_requirement' are relevant for client side?What can I set the irrelevant parameters to?tBleStatus aci_gap_set_authentication_requirement( uint8_t Bonding_Mode, uint8_t MITM_Mode, uint8_t SC_Support, uint8_t KeyPress_Notification_Support, uint8_t Min_Encryption_Key_Size, uint8_t Max_Encryption_Key_Size, uint8_t Use_Fixed_Pin, uint32_t Fixed_Pin, uint8_t Identity_Address_Type )Thanks

Hello,Working on a custom BLE server (peripheral role), I face a trouble exporting the working sources from a Nucleo project (STM32WB55) to a custom board (STM32WB55) project.Everything is working fine on the Nucleo: advertissing, connection, bidirectional communication etc...On the custom board, the BLE master sees the advertissing slave, but there is no way to connect to it. It fails connecting!2 softwares were used on the Master side: ST BLE Toolbox and nRF Connect. Both give same results. The nRF connect show an additional log error 133(0x85): GATT Error. The custom board does not implement LSE crystal. HSE is used instead. I follow this URL but cannot find CFG_BLE_LSE_SOURCE in BLE configuration.(community.st.com/s/article/configuring-stm32wb-for-bluetooth-le-without-an-lse-crystal). I was expecting a trouble from this point, and found several ticket on the knowledge base, but no one have solution:- community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000C3BaK3SQK/migration-from-nucleo-to-my-own-board
Using:CubeMX 6.6.1FW package STM32Cube FW_WL V1.2.0Goal:From an IOC file, pressing generate in CubeMX generates 2 projects, each with their own main file. Each project can be compiled separately, and then joined during debugging (or linking externally), similar to how the hardware semaphore example is.Current behavior:Code is generated as a single project as seen in single-core MCUsThank you
Hello, I created a new project with STM32WB. I try to build a project but receive many errors for drivers. If I correctly understand I need to install drivers separately from - STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.14.0?
IN STM32WB55 touch sensing features, at which range of capacitance value touch sensor can be used?It say few picofarad, do any exact capacitance range for proper working?if i use a dedicated touch sensor with 100pf nominal value do it will work?
Greetings, can you please tell me where can I find the version history for the STM32CubeWL Release v1.2.0?Latest version on GitHub is for v1.1.0.Specifically, changes in the "radio_ex.h" and the related files since your examples on the GitHub repo don't work with the v1.2.0 of this file. When will the repo be updated?Best regards,Domagoj
ADS_DRDY_Pin is PC11. When I change GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING to GPIO _MODE_IT_FALLING, my ble server can not work normally. Rising is ok, but I can't find my ble device(in falling). Thank in advance.
Hello guys, I am trying to make a P2P LoRa Communication with SubGHZ_Phy SDK. I have two boards, one is STM32WL dev. board and RAK3172 Custom Board. When I use SubGhz SDK STM32WL works but with RAK3172 problem appears for (TxTimeout). What is this? How can I solve it_?

Hello. I try to use I2C bootloader of STM32WB and it can't connect. I use board NUCLEO-WB55.USBDongle, STLINK-V3SET and STM32CubeProgrammer. I2C: 100KHz Speed mode: standard, addres 0x50. NUCLEO-WB55 I2C pins PB6 PB7, SB6=close, SB2 = open, SW2: BOOT0 = 1.Every time I get: Error: ST-LINK error (BRG_I2C_ERR) . See Log file in attachment. I cheked I2C line and finde that there is only one addres byte without "ACK signal". The board doesn't recognise own slave address. Same result is with board NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo.Do I use wrong I2C slave addres ?I tried USB and UART bootloader on NUCLEO-WB55 and it was successful.I olso tried I2C bootloader on the board STM32L476 Discovery MB1184, it was successful too.Pleas help me with I2C bootloader STM32WB.
Hi Team,By using STM32WB55RG , SPI1 is connected to LCD and is working fine and SPI2 is connected to external flash memory, It is not working.Note- Same flash memory is working on SPI1.Kindly let us know any configurations needed to work on SPI2 on the board. Also attached the schematics for the MCU SPI interface for your reference .Kindly advise to proceed furtherRegardsSudeendra S
Hello, I many years use STM32, but first time when I ran into a problem.I can not compile the code STM32CubeIDE (same and TrueStudio). I pushed the button and nothing happen, I don't have any error, so I can not understand why I have a problem.Initially, the project was created in CubeMX6.6.1 for STM32CubeIDE (same and TrueStudio). In the image, you can see, I added a variable and pushed the build, and nothing - Nothing to build for project
