When I use an STM32WB55 as a Central to connect to another STM32WB55 acting as a Peripheral, I find via a sniffer that the Window Size in the connection parameters is 3 (3.75 ms). However, when I connect the same Peripheral with a mobile phone, the sniffer shows the Window Size is 1 (1.25 ms). How can I modify this parameter in the STM32WB55?
I am currently working on BLE applications for a custom STM32WB05KZ board using the SDK stm32cubewb0-v1-3-0. In general, peripherals such as GPIO and UART are functioning correctly when running non-BLE examples provided in the SDK.However, when I run BLE applications (such as Beacon, Server, or Client), I am unable to receive any logs over UART (configured on PB0 and PA1). I have verified that an LED, which is initialized prior to the BLE initialization in app_entry.c, operates correctly, indicating that the application is executing at least up to that point. The main issues I am facing are:No log output is observed on the UART interface during BLE operation. The device does not appear to advertise(No address is visible: random or public), as it is not detected by the ST BLE Toolbox application.I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions to help identify and resolve this issue.
I have a custom STM32 WB05KZ and I want to get logs using UART for BLE_Beacon, and check if its advertising. But I am unable to get the logs. Is UART not supported? Is it because of low power mode? How do I get the logs?
I am trying to use the ble_p2pServer example on my stm32wb05kz, but it is not advertising and not detectable on the ST toolbox application. Could you add NVM option for zigbee stm32WB55 in cubeMX ?It's essential for developement of application (persistence and coord association...)thanks FYI: This is a repost from https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/stm32wba-option-nvm-not-present/td-p/680720
Hi ST Team,I just downloaded X-Cube-Matter package v1.5.0 and noticed that support for STM32WB55 uC was entirely removed, without even being mentioned in the release notes. Why is that? Is the uC being discontinued?Where can I find updated Matter examples for STM32WB55?Thanks

Hello,I’m working with STM32WB55CGU (UQFN68) on a WeAct WB55 board and trying to achieve ultra-low power during BLE idle / non-advertising periods using the STM32 WPAN framework.Expected behaviorAccording to ST documentation and examples:STOP2 mode with BLE stack idle should be in the tens of µA rangeI previously verified 10–20 µA STOP2 current without BLE enabled, so the board itself is capable of low powerActual behaviorWith BLE enabled (advertising):Idle (non-advertising period): ~1.1–1.4 mAAdvertising peak: ~8 mABLE communication works correctlyPB6 debug pin toggles, confirming STOP2 entryRemoving ST-LINK reduces only ~100–200 µAHardwareMCU: STM32WB55CGUBoard: WeAct WB55External LSE presentMeasured using shunt resistor + scope (differential measurement)Software setupBased on BLE_p2pServer exampleCube FW: STM32Cube FW_WB V1.23.0IDE: STM32CubeIDERF firmware loaded correctly (same as NUCLEO examples)USB, ADC, PWM, DMA disabled for low-power testMain loop while (1) { MX_APPE
Hello, I am working with the STM32WL55 core and I started the FreeRTOS test and a problem occurred to me that I would like to share with you.The only thing I have done is define pin 15 of port B as output and I have created a FreeRTOS task, and within the task I have performed the LED switching:In addition to that, as is already known, FreeRTOS works with Sistyck and the HALs should use another clock source to avoid generating conflicts, in this case I have used timer 1.After configuring that way, I run the program and the LED stays on on the board, it does not switch as done in the programming.Something different happens when I let the FreeRTOS and the HAL use the Systick as a clock source, the LED does blink. What do you think is happening?
Hi,ich wanted to have a look on the following project: https://github.com/stm32-hotspot/STM32WB-ZB-RUC-Lighting/tree/mainHow can i import it in STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0 ?In the readme is written:In order to make the programs work, you must do the following: Open your toolchain Rebuild all files and flash the board with the executable fileSo i opened cube ide, hit on import existing project and so on, but this does not really work.It seems to be not recognized as anything which it can work with or so.
I am working in a project with a STM32WB microcontroller, and I want to print the STM32_WPAN firmware version, but I am unable to programmatically get that info.Any idea about how to know the used version?
I have a stable BLE application on STM32WB55RG. The application uses a Custom Template, has one service one characteristic for notification only, and uses Public Address for Advertising. I send the notifications to Central with an interval of 100msec, triggered by a Timer. The Wireless Stack was generated with STM32WBCubeFW V1.22.1 under CubeMX 6.14.1. Everything is fine in STM32WB55RG. But after migration to STM32WB5MMG, with absolutely the same related to Wireless stack parameters, it works only advertising. Connections always fail! Any suggestions?
We purchased 1,200 STM32WB55VGY6TR chips from the STmicroelectronics eStore for production. We encountered several firmware programming issues during the manufacturing process, and while investigating the cause, we noticed that the device marking was printed as WB55VEY. The chips that were successfully programmed appear to be OK. The device marking is printed as WB55VEY6, but the actual flash memory capacity is 1MB and the contents appear to be WB55VGY. Can we assume that the chip in the attached photo is an STM32WB55VGY6TR and use it without any problems? By the way, the lot number is listed as:WB55VEY6A5 011 9RTW 4 48 Xe1We've contacted the eStore, but haven't received a reply."Case# 00247962"What should we do? Can you help us?
Hello,I'm having trouble with our BLE app where our code gets stuck in an infinite loop in `stm_list.c`, specifically in the `passPendingToActive()` function. When I expand the `AmmPendingCallback` variable in CubeIDE, I see this:And following the logic through of the passPendingToActive() it seems like we'll never recover from this. The application becomes unresponsive. Some relevant details:Our application is running in ThreadXWe are abusing the BLE thread (HCI Async Event Task) currently (doing a Flash Erase) - this obviously will be moved off into an application thread, but currently it is in the BLE thread: I suspect the fact that we're abusing the BLE thread is what's causing this, but in any case it seems like incorrect behavior. The LST_is_empty (&AmmPendingCallback) check is never TRUE, so the while loop never exits.Any thoughts on what could be causing this?Cheers,Jonathan
Hi there,i am planning to create a "smart light" (on/off) which is compatible with philips hue with a stm32wb55RG (nucleo).I have digged a bit into the numerous examples for zigbee applications and also tried some of them, basically the on/off examples with two boards. They worked and all is fine. Now i am about to gather informations what would be the best start of getting this into my Hue Bridge.Currently my Bride does not see those end devices from the example, so i can not add it there.Does anyone has some kind of Tip or Setup which you can share which is aiming to work with Hue? Thank you
Hello,Right now I am using 2 STM32WBA55G-DK1, one as PBP_Source and other is TMAP_Peripheral. The source consists of 2 BIS channels and in TMAP, I have included language selection option to include the subgroup or channel selection. And its working fine. But if I select Unicast option and pair with S24 mobile, only first channel or subgroup I can select, not the 2nd one. May I know whats the reason and how to overcome from this. Thank you
Hi,i have a bit of situation here.I wanted to try a zigbee example from cube mx (On/off ED).So i first flashed the FUS v2.2.0 on the device. But now it turns out that i can not flash the desired FW anymore : stm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD_fw.bin.It only errors :(I have the feeling that this FW is not working with FUS 2.2?If so - I am right that i can not downgrade FUS anymore once it is updated? This basically would mean i wasted hundreds of EURs for those dev boards.
Dear Community Members,I am trying to control / communicate-with X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 via NUCLEO-STM32F411RE.I am observing two issues for which I request your help:1. Code works when J15 is open (i.e., pins 1 and 2 are not shorted) on X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1, but the EXTI interrupt on PA0 of STM32F411RE never triggers in its code. On X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 R70, R81, R83, R84, R86, and R87 are DNP / NC. While R76, R82, R85, R88, R116, R74, R75, R79, R80, R77, R119, R71, R117, and R73 are connected.J!0 pins 1 and 2 are shorted. J14 pins 2 and 3 are shorted.2. Using LightBlue App on mobile. Whatever changes I make to code I do not observe event value 5 on disconnect. I always observe event_pckt->evt reporting value 4. (Using printf) I observe 2 outputs with event value 4 at power on, 3 outputs with events with event value 4 at connect, and (possibly at least) 1 output with event value 4 at disconnect. In main.c: /* Initialise HCI */ extern void hci_event_cb(void *pckt); hci_init(h
Hello,I am setting up a P-NUCLEO-LRWAN3 kit and experiencing issues with serial communication to the end node.Initially, when connecting the board to Tera Term / PuTTY, I could see boot messages, but I was unable to send any commands (no echo or response when pressing Enter). I am trying to retrieve the DevEUI, AppEUI, and AppKey.After checking the user manual, I found the section stating that:USART1 (PA9/PA10) is used by defaultUSART2 (PA2/PA3) can be used optionally by configuring solder bridgesSB62 & SB63 closedSB13 & SB14 opened (to disconnect STM32 UART from ST-LINK)I reconfigured the board accordingly (opened SB13/SB14 and closed SB62/SB63).However, after this change, I no longer receive any boot messages at all on the serial terminal.Probably, there is something I am doing wrong; I need help on how to completely set up the Pnucleo Lrwan 3 kit (The end node-gateway-network server-application server)
Dear ST Community Members,I bought X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 (497-X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1-ND) and X-NUCLEO-67W61M1 (497-X-NUCLEO-67W61M1-ND) along with NUCLEO-STM32F411RE from Digikay. I have raised concerns with both Digikey and ST Support about both the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 and X-NUCLEO-67W61M1 boards have been sent to me without possibly having stack and firmware pre-installed on them.I am assuming this because the firmware executing on STM32F411 is reporting error when executing hci_init() when communicating with BLUENRG-M2SP on X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1. I have tried both with CPHA = 2 Edge with CPOL = High (returns error 66) and CPHA = 2Edge with CPOL = Low (returns error 255). The J10 (1-2), J15 (1-2), and J14 (2-3) pins are shorted using female jumpers (one per J port). As I am in between jobs and cannot invest money, I am unable to buy the NUCLEO board with STM32L476RG for which some examples (like Virtual COM port) are given. Using STM32CubeMX I did create a VIRTUAL-COM port project fo
Hello,I’m using an STM32WBA65 and trying to communicate with a peripheral (PTX30W) over I2C1.The peripheral requires the following I²C sequence: START → WRITE → REPEATED START → READ → STOP However, using HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit() followed by HAL_I2C_Master_Receive() does not work, because both HAL functions generate a STOP condition, and the PTX30W does not accept a STOP between the write and read phases. On STM32WBA, I don’t see a HAL equivalent of HAL_I2C_Master_TransmitReceive() that would allow a repeated START without a STOP in between. My questions are:Is there a way to achieve a WRITE + REPEATED START + READ sequence using the HAL on STM32WBA?Or is the correct approach to switch to the LL (Low Layer) I2C driver to get finer control over START/STOP conditions?Any guidance or best practices for this use case would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.here is the i2c protocol :
Split from Why there is no NUCLEO-WBA52CG projects in STM32CubeWBA?This is a new topic, by a new author.Dear @STTwo-32 I am struggling with STM32WBA52KG chipset, can you please give me some pointers?Everything is starting with our hardware team select STM32WBA52KG MCU because of the size and power consumption from documentations, and I am tasked with create a version of ble + standby power profile.I am using Nucleo-STM32WBA52CG, cubeMX6.9.0, cubeIDE1.12.0.When I tried the example HeartRate with sequencer setting CFG_LPM_STDBY_SUPPORTED (1)/****************************************************************************** * Low Power * * When CFG_FULL_LOW_POWER is set to 1, the system is configured in full * low power mode. It means that all what can have an impact on the consumptions * are powered down.(For instance LED, Access to Debugger, Etc.) * * When CFG_FULL_LOW_POWER is set to 0, the low power mode is not activated * *************************************
I'm having the same issue on my NUCLEO-WBA65RI project. This problem specifically occurs when I try to use both X-CUBE-FREERTOS and STM32_WPAN. The project cleanly builds just fine if I only use one or the other, but as soon as I try to include both in a project I receive this "fatal error: crc_ctrl.h: No such file or directory" error. I am currently using X-CUBE-FREERTOS version 1.3.1 with CMSIS RTOS2 version 10.6.2. I can see in the BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS project that there is a CRC_Ctrl folder generated under "Application/User/System/Config" that is not being generated under "System/Config" on my system, in addition to crc_ctrl.c/h not being generated under "Projects/Common/WPAN/Modules" on my system. Hi,I need help with latest X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 board firmware/software. The schematic available on ST website looks old as it shows R700 but it is unavailable on my board. On my board R117 has a zero ohm resistance connected. The D1 on the board does not turn On after Power ON.I have purchased NUCLEO-STM32F411RE and X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 boards. The STM32F411 with updated firmware is unable to talk to the BlueNRG2 board. The D1 on BlueNRG2 board remains OFF. The J10 pins remains shorted. I have tried shorting the J15 pins as well as swapping the J14 connections from pins 2-3 to pins 1-2.I do have ST-Link V2 debugger with me.Please help me download the firmware for ST website for the board containing IC: 8976C-BNRGM2SP so that I can use the BLE in different modes. My sample test code executing on sTM32F411 which fails with message hci_reset : FAILED (66)Please also suggest when and how to use stsw-bnrgui-v471, stsw-bluenrg1-dk, etc. and any other tool. Thanks and regards,Rajeev
Hi all,I'd like to create a project on the STM32WBA55-DK1 that combines a TMAP broadcast audio service (like the one in the BLE_Audio_TMAP_Peripheral example, 2nd menu entry) with a BLE data service where I can manage some parameters. Is there an example available for this purpose? Thanks.
