Hi,I would like to program the NUCLEO-WL55J1 as a w-MBus concentrator. Getting data from nearby w-MBus sensors and pass it on to the cloud, while I still have the option to switch to LoRa for data transmitting.Do any of you have an example project, or any guides how to do this.
Hi all, I am working on the stm32wb55 with stack 1.16.Now I am not sure If its a new issue or just something I noticed recently, but I get 0x0A error when I both:1. Discover Primary Services.2. Discover characteristics of the service. ( I give the command the exact handles that I got from Services discovery)The error occurs on the same exact characteristic for both procedures. By the way, all procedures end with success and I don't see any issues later. Now, regarding the error, I do understand that it might occur on the Primary Services discovery after it reaches the last characateristic in the stack, but why do I get it in the characteristic discovery when I give it the specific limits?thanks
Hi,Just wondering in the throughput example provided in the BlueNRG-LP_LPS DK 1.3.0, why a timer is needed in the APP_Tick in throughput.c file. I also noticed in other examples such as SensorDemo project, there is also a timer set for the sensors. Can anyone explain why it requires setting a timer in these example application? Thanks,Olive
There some limitations/issues with the generation of the LoRaWAN/Target/radio_conf.hThe template radio_conf_h.ftl is hard coding key values in a way that does not preserve user set values. The following lines are of concern:#define XTAL_DEFAULT_CAP_VALUE ( 0x20UL )#define TCXO_CTRL_VOLTAGE TCXO_CTRL_1_7V#define DCDC_ENABLE ( 1UL )It would be useful if these values could be set via the IOC file or, alternatively, be protected from modification in the case of code regeneration.Noting that the DCDDC_ENABLE value may be redundant as there is an IS_DCDC_SUPPORTED symbol in the radio_board_if.h file.
I just started using the stm32cubemx tool and I want to make an application with a STM32WL55 which only wakes up once every day and exchanges one simple LoRa class A message. I need to use as little power as possible. I get the impression that the least power consuming state from which the unit can wakeup is "standby" (around 300nA), and that the RTC wakeup counter should be used (is that right? There is no way for the RTC or other counter to power on the MCU from 30nA "shutdown" state?) I'm starting from the LoRaWan application in stm32cubemx. How should I best do this? Can I make "sequencer" steps in the graphical stm32cubemx tool that runs for e.g. 10 seconds and then goes into standby state for 24 hours? Or should I ditch the timer-based sequence steps and explicitly write code that immediately performs the LoRa communication on startup and then immediately goes into standby, waiting for the next RTC wakeup? If so, how can I prevent the LoRaWan from generating periodic timer based
data on serial monitor tera term setting what is the reason of data mis matching ?
when i use the adc oversampling code then it work in debugg mode but when i use the heart rate sensor program then it will not work in live debugging ,it say target not found.what is wrong with this code ?
when i generate the adc based code then it show the error without doing anything in the main code
Hi,I am developing an application on the STM32WB10 where multiple smartphones can be connected at once (so far just two but that might change in the future). I can get the handles for each connection, but I also need to be able to send a notification to just one of the connected devices without that notification being received by the other device. How do I do that?I can send notifications, but they are always received by both smartphones which is rather unfortunate if the WB10 needs to send a secret or something similar
Hello,We are having an issue updating the BLE FW v1.13.3 to 1.17.2 using FUS 1.2.0.Everything is working as expected until (after SHCI_C2_FUS_FwUpgrade(0, 0)) we are polling for SHCI_C2_FUS_GetState()At first, its FUS_STATE_VALUE_FW_UPGRD_ONGOING as expected, which changes to FUS_STATE_ERROR_IMG_NOT_AUTHENTIC, then FUS_STATE_VALUE_IDLE.After the reset, we are still on v1.13.3 (as expected after the failure). Both stacks are stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw, load address calculated as per AN5185. We do erase one page before the load address.P.S. This exact flow used to work on older versions ~1.10.xPlease advise. Thanks in advance.
Is it possible or advisable to use the tcxo as the clock source in a lora end node application? The default configuration in the Lora end node example code uses the MSI as the clock source but surely the tcxo would be a better and more stable option? There is some mention of the tcxo in the radio drivers but it's unclear if selecting the HSE as the clock source in cube mx is enough or whether the code requires further modifications to support it.
HiWhether BlueST-SDK tool is compatible with bootloader STM_OTA dedicated to STM32WB55 ?I using Nucleo STM32WB55 and bootloader from STM (STM_OTA). For update firmware I using for now STM32CubeMonitor-RF and stm32WB USB DONGLE (which is part of nucleo kit). Hello ,I am trying to making a BLE application with triggering external interrupts that came from camera sensor. Normally my interrupt handlers worked just fine, however when I try to add BLE function, code getting hard fault. Following lines in the function cause this fault. HAL_DMA_Abort_IT(htim2.hdma[TIM_DMA_ID_UPDATE]);__HAL_TIM_DISABLE_DMA(&htim2, TIM_DMA_UPDATE);Is There a way to abort DMA another way or how can I fix the this error? void EXTI2_IRQHandler(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI2_IRQn 2 */ if((__HAL_GPIO_EXTI_GET_FLAG(GPIO_PIN_2))&&(HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_2)==GPIO_PIN_SET)) { __HAL_GPIO_EXTI_CLEAR_FLAG(GPIO_PIN_2); HAL_DMA_Start_IT(htim2.hdma[TIM_DMA_ID_UPDATE], (uint32_t)&GPIOA->IDR, (uint32_t)&sRAM_frame_buffer[hsyncCount][640],640); __HAL_TIM_ENABLE_DMA(&htim2, TIM_DMA_UPDATE); if(hsyncCount<240) { hsyncCount++; } else
The standard OTA application is taking up 28kBytes and even the light stack (v 1.16) starts at 0x08021000 on the 256kB models. This leaves 104kByte in between. Does that mean it is not possible to updatet the wireless stack via OTA on those models?
I'm currently working on a project based on transmitting RF.The objective of the project is to develop a system which is able to communicate with another device based on RF transmission. The system has to be able to provide RF communication at a frequency in all the sub-1 GHz range. Now I am trying to use the STEVAL-IKR002V2D that covers the 315MHz, developed by STMicroelectronics, unfortunately I can't find any archive or project examples that use this module.I would be very grateful if you could suggest me a module (transceiver) developed by ST that can cover all the frequencies needed (315MHz.433MHz.869MHz).It would also be helpful if you could advise me how to use the STEVAL-IKR002V2D.Many thanks in advance!
Hello, I'm new at developing Wireless applications with the STM32WB and can not find why old data from old commands stays somewhere in my code and affects my new commands sent. Im writing the command strings into Myble_Characteristic_Command with the ST BLE Toolbox. Everything works fine as long as the Command has the termination character ("!"), but if the command does not have this and a longer command was sent before, the new command is now joined with the following old characters until the old termination character. I can not find where is this old data being stored. For example if I send first the command: "C:Hello!", the received command is "C:Hello!" but if then I send a shorter command without the termination character ("!") like: "C:Hi", the received command is "C:Hillo!" which of course is not correct. I found the old data is comming from attribute_modified->Attr_Data but can not find the way of setting it to empty characters before the write event occu
Board: STM32WB55Software: STM32CubeIDE, STM32_WPAN BLE as Custom p2p serverBackground: Have a test bench set up to check entering Standby Mode with additional features we want to use on our project before implementing it. Have been adding in our features and Standby Mode has been entered fine with good power consumption measured. I left the STM32_WPAN BLE package to last to add into the test project. This is my (edited) function WIP so far that is called when a button is pressed, using a flag system so not within the interrupt: static void Enter_Standby_Mode() { /* Flash Green LEDs to signal Shut Down and ensure all are off */ /* Specific procedure on STM32WB, in case of initial power-up and RF stack no started */ if((LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_C1SB() == 0) || (LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_C2SB() == 0)) { /* Set the lowest low-power mode for CPU2: shutdown mode */ LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_STANDBY); } /* Clear the RTC Wake UP (WU) flag */ __HAL_RTC_WAKEUPTIMER_CLE
Hi Team, Any Transceiver IC support up to 3GHz range in STMicroelectronics? And how to interface with controller.! Thanks and Reguad,Aravind
Hi there. We are planning to develop a product that includes 5-7 server nodes based on STM32WB15, and one client node based on STM32WB55 which should receive notifications from the server nodes parse them, and send data to the PC through USB CDC. Each server node should send a packet of data which includes 28 bytes of payload 60 times/sec. Before diving very deep into BLE documentation, as a hardware engineer, I want to know if such a realization is possible and isn't going to be a big headache from the point of view of software engineering. Am I right that the STM32WB client can support simultaneous connection with 8 devices? From a quick look in the WB examples repository I found client realization which shows the realization of the client node but only for one connection to the server node, so I am not absolutely sure about configuration.
How do I change the BLE Access Address?(default 0x8e89bed6)LLD can be changed through a function called HAL_BLE_LLD_Configure, but there are no functions to change the channel and access address other than that.Is it possible to change the access address without LLD? Sorry for using a translator.
Hi,I'm using the Nucleo-WB15CC board to develop a LowLevel and Lowpower BLE application. The application will sleep 1 seccond, wakeup and send some custom data and then sleep again. Is it possible to have OTA support in this kind of application? Are there any examples with Lowlevel and Lowpower application and OTA support?Best regards;Mats
Greetings,I am using Murata Module and LoRaWAN_End_Node project for my project application which I got from STM website . My code is working fine and transmitting data packet successfully with a specific interval of time. Now I want to send another data packet after transmitting previous data packet. Means I want to send two data packets at same interval time. The problem I am facing is that I am getting ACK from first data but not getting ACK for 2nd data packet. Hence I am not able see 2nd data at cloud server.I requesting you to please tell me how to send two data packets at same frequency and get ACK for both data packets. It is an urgency and looking forward to hear soon. Thanks and RegardsDevesh Sehgal
Is it possible to boot at 1.8V, have processor configure external PMIC to go to a 3.3V setting and then run the processor at that setting? Any gotchas/things to worry about on the STM32 side and does the processor even care if its supply ramps up like that?
