Hello,I am downloading the firmware \STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.17.0\Projects\STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries\STM32WB1x\stm32wb1x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin to the STM32WB15CC using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.14.0, with USB cable. At the end, I have : 11:21:53:481 : Error: failed to download Segment[0] 11:21:53:481 : Error: failed to download the File If I try to download stm32wb1x_Safeboot_fw.bin, there is no error.Where is the problem ? All products are from STMicroelectronics...Thank you for help. FWX.
Trying to enable both USB and BLE at the same time I encountered difficultyThe USB failed to run.I encountered the following ticket: usb-device-does-not-work-when-starting-ble-stack-on-stm32wb55 which had an example attached to it.After trying several things from that example we saw that the only thing I needed was to lock HW semaphore number 5 (Which I found on other projects to be defined as CFG_HW_CLK48_CONFIG_SEMID).Do note that the semaphore is never being releasedI'm not entirely sure if what I did was correct. My USB clock configuration is: LL_HSEM_1StepLock(HSEM, 5); // USB clock enable memset(&PeriphClkInitStruct, 0, sizeof(PeriphClkInitStruct)); PeriphClkInitStruct.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_USB; PeriphClkInitStruct.UsbClockSelection = RCC_USBCLKSOURCE_HSI48; if (HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&PeriphClkInitStruct) != HAL_OK) { goto PeripheralClocksErr; } __HAL_RCC_USB_CLK_ENABLE(); Anyone fr
Hello,I'm writing an application running on Windows and Linux, using Qt to update STM32WB15CC application.I have read AN5247 document and implement it, but my Qt application never receive the last Reboot Indicatatione ( characteristic uuid: "{0000fe23-8e22-4541-9d4c-21edae82ed19}"). I have configured it by writing [0x01,0x00] to descriptor of {00002902-...}.First question: how to determine the value of the second byte in the BOOT REQUEST (Sector Index) for characteristic {0000FE11-8e22-4541-9d4c-21edae82ed19} ? How to caluate it?Second question: after reboot and connect to OTA service, do I need to wait before sending command, or after sending command and before sending data?Thank you for help.
Hello,I would like to know the capacity of external memories supported by STM32 MCUs wireless family :- STM32WBA- STM32WB- STM32WB0- STM32WL I looked up in the datasheet of all referencies but I didn't find the information. Thank you for your help. Best Regards.
hi allI'm working on a P-NucleoSTM32WB boardI've try BLE_p2pServer_Ext exemple with CM0 loaded with stack_full_extended.bin and it works wellon the other hand I've a simple Custom app that works wellafter tweaking .ld file for getting it to work with extended stack on CM0 it works okI've added adv_ext_app.c/h from exemple but at ADV_EXT_Start() call the hci_le_read_number_of_supported_advertising_sets(&adv_set_count_supported) returns status 1 (Unknown HCI command)I've isolated this in a button press call and it's same void Custom_Switch1_Action(void) { APP_DBG_MSG("-- Switch 1 \n"); APP_DBG_MSG(" \n\r"); tBleStatus status = BLE_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMS; uint8_t adv_set_count_supported; uint8_t HCI_Version; uint16_t HCI_Subversion; uint8_t LMP_Version; uint16_t Company_Identifier; uint16_t LMP_Subversion; status = hci_read_local_version_information(&HCI_Version,&HCI_Subversion,&LMP_Version,&Company_Identifi
I’m using a STM32WB5MMGHx module on a battery powered device. I need to put the module in Stop mode 2 in order to have a better battery life. After reset when the module enters the stop mode for the first time it stops advertising as it should. After waking up when the module returns to stop mode again the advertisement keeps being active. I need the module to stop advertising every time it enters Stop Mode 2.I’m using HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI) to enter stop mode 2.
Created a new project for the STM32WB55CE microcontroller and I am trying to configure the SPI1 using the Pinout & Configuration tool. However, SPI1 is greyed out with the message "I2S1 must be disabled". I tried looking for the I2S1 and I think it is implemented with the SAI1, but that is also disabled. Is this just a bug? Or am I missing a setting?SPI1 Greyed OutSAI1 Disabled
Hello! I am using STM32WB as a MCU for a custom pcb. I am using the BLE Sensor firmware but slightly altered for our application. The question I have is - If I want to perform data acquisition intermittently (let's say every 5 mins) and transmit data over BLE, is there some sort of power consumption features within the MCU/firmware that will put the MCU into standby/sleep but stay connected to BLE (to an app let's say)? If not, is there a still way to keep the MCU on in lower power mode when measurements are not being taken? Trying to prolong battery life is the main objective here. Thanks
AN5669 seems to indicate that the BLE Object Transfer Service is available on STM32WB devices. Are there any technical documents or examples showing how this would be used in an STM32Cube application?
Hello i am looking for specifications for the antennas supplied with the p-nucleo-lrwan packages. Unfortunately i cannot find any specific information about the supplied antennas such as impedance, gain, etc in the documentation of the products. I would appreciate any help.
Hello, I am using 2 NUCLEO-WBA52CG dev boards with project STM32Cube_FW_WBA_V1.1.1\Projects\NUCLEO-WBA52CG\Applications\BLE\BLE_p2pServer. I am using IAR 9.40.1 My pc wireless is Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200, pc is running win10 pro (latest) While getting this development kit up and running, the bluetooth hw on my pc became corrupted and stopped working. on symptom was that the Bluetooth on/off switch in settings=>bluetooth & other devices was missing. Prior to the development all bluetooth had been working with no issues for over a year. The corruption happened when I tried loading the project listed above onto one of my devices. I don't remember if the device was bound or just advertising. It took a bit of effort to get the hardware working again but after fixing that, the device that caused the issue is no longer visible to my PC in "Add a device like it is supposed to, like this: Now one device is visible like in the picture, and the other is not.&
I followed the instructions posted here to enter the bootloader and successfully connect to the MCU via USB using STM32CubeProgrammer. Hello Sir,I am working on STM32WB. I am using the reference of STM32WB Dongle. The reference Dongle design used STM32WB55CGU6U MCU Part Number. I used STM32WB55CGU6 ( Without 'U') MCU Part. Bluetooth is not working with my PCB.is there any Difference related to Hardware or Firmware?Reference Link: https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/p-nucleo-wb55.html Thanks Sagar Kayasth
I have developed a program on the NUCLEO-WB55RG which contains a STM32WB55RGV6 MCU. Sadly our small company dont have the necessary equipment for RF design so we are planning to use the STM32WB5MMG module, which contains STM32WB55VGY MCU and all the RF curcit built in. Will the same code I wrote for the nucleo work on the STM32WB5MMG module if I retarget it in the STM32CubeIde?
Hi,I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.4.0 to build an application (BLE Hid) for the P-Nucleo-WB55 board. It's looking for an include file stm32wb55xx.h which is missing. Any idea where to find this file? Thanks,Jim
Hello,I'm using the Nucleo-WL55CJ kit to test the Lora connectivity with TTN server. At first, all worked fine and I received my data, but now the kit is unable to join the networt with the following error "DevNonce is too small".Any idea? Thanks.
I have generated code with Lorawan. I am reading data from HTU31D sensor, the sensor pushes the same data (first stored data) in lorawan. Thank you
Before I recommend the STM32WB55 for our project, I'd like to know if what we want to do is even possible. Our application requires ultra-low power and so I'd like to limit the use of the micro where ever I can. We have a Gray code encoder that we need to interrogate optically. I believe that I can hook up the comparators to a timer to create an optical decoder and get shaft position. Thats great. But to save power I'd want to pulse the LEDs.If I'm pulsing the LEDs then I'd need someway to gate the decoder from counting so that the timer only considered the output of the comparators when they were valid. Is this possible without software intervention? Thanks
Hi,how can I use the Temperature Measurement Cluster with Zigbee? I have configured STM32 CubeMX with an endpoint and the cluster, but "zcl.temp.meas.h" doesn´t contain functions for handling the cluster. Only "ZbZclTempMeasClientAlloc" and "ZbZclTempMeasServerAlloc" are available.
The example project shown below builds and downloads successfully and halts at main(). The ST-LINK appears to connect and start successfully. It is when I click on run that the ST-LINK server says "Target is not responding, retrying..."I changed absolutely nothing in the source code or header files. This is happening if I attempt to run and debug immediately after importing the default project. The ST-LINK debugger works with other projects.Shown below is the precise example project I am using: This is the debugger view, with the program halted at main(), right before I click run: Below is the console output after launching the debugger and halting at main():STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Hi everyone!I need to have several pins acting as ADCs to get data from different analog sensors connected at the same time. In board's datasheet I see that this board has 1 ADC with multiple channels (12 channels to be precise). The problem is that CubeMx provides the following ADC channels (channel - pin):IN0 - PA0IN1 - PA1IN2 - PA2IN3 - PA3IN4 - PA4IN5 - PA5IN6 - PA6IN7 - PA7IN8 - PB0IN9 - PB1IN10 - PC0IN11 - PC1IN12 - PC2IN0, IN4 and IN5 are working perfectly.IN2 and IN3 are used by other components so do not work properly. The rest of the pins are not in the board as you can see here:https://os.mbed.com/platforms/ST-Discovery-LRWAN1/#board-pinoutWhat am I missing?EDIT:Should I use a multiplexer instead of using multiple ADC channels?
Hi,This is my architecture:1 board client.5 board servers. In the client i have:A routine that try to connect, pair and update MTU size of all the servers.A routine that send and receive message from the paired servers.Right now i have some problem because i can't find an explaination of some errors i can observe. Where i can find a detailed description of the error codes returned by the functions that have tBleStatus as return type?In particular:aci_gatt_write_long_char_value return error 70 (decimal) after some working time (40min approximately). I have to disconnect and reconnect all the servers in order to restore the system.aci_gap_create_connection sporadically return the error 46 (decimal). If you have some document where these return values are explained i will be very useful.Thank you in advanceBest regardsLorenzo
I am evaluating the ASTRA1B demonstration board. I powered up the board, with factory firmware, via USB and attached an STLINK-V3MINIE debugger/programmer to the J300/STDC14 connector on the expansion board to a PC running TT.Output to console worked fine. Noticed LoRa radio was broadcasting at EU868.I am US based, so I need to configure it to use US915 band.I started a new STM32 project and imported CustomUC source code into CubeIDE.Used CubeMX to configure FP-ATR-ASTRA1 -> Parameter Settings -> STM32WL_SUBGHZ_REGION to US915.Built and flashed the board. - No console output. Tried different baud rates, 9600, 115200. No console output.I have used this setup to build, flash and run a LoRa Nucleo-WL55 board without problems. After some online research, learned that UART configuration is in the STM32_WPAN section of IOC.Tried enabling CFG_HW_LPUART1_ENABLED, which was disabled. Re-flashed the board. No console output.I tried hacking the code in main() to call DBG_PRINT
HiI'm trying to migrate and run LoRaWAN FUOTA example on STM32WLE5 custom hardware. I tried to use solution from: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/how-to-migrate-from-stm32wl55-to-stm32wle5/m-p/190815but replacing STM32WL55JCIX_FLASH.ld file was too complex, because it contains a lot of flash setions related with KMS. I'm not sure if this is needed, because WL55 differs from WLE5 only by extra CM0 core.Code starts with no issues, connecting to AWS IoT Core, joining multicast group. Problem happened when FUOTA starts and first packet is receiver. Device gets into hard fault, there is "unaligned memory error", when 48-bytes of firmware is coppied to flash memory using LDRD command. It happens because source address is 0x200071EF which is not 8-byte aligned. I fixed that with very simple coppying to another buffer. Now full firmware can be written to flash memory, but update process is still unsuccesfull, there are many flash_write errors and device reb
Hi. Everyone.I'm trying to control external MUX using a GPIO pin in the STM32WB55 microcontroller.Because of a limited number of PWM pins, I'm trying to use a GPIO pin for continuous regular switching. My question is that even though the company said a maximum of 45 MHz (or 9 ns) is possible for the GPIO pin my code does not work properly (mux doesn't switch well without a 1 ms delay). The mux speed is a possible maximum of 100 MHz. So, I do not doubt it's performance but it may be due to the too fast swithing of GPIO pin.I need at least 1 us (1 MHz) switching speed. So, I wonder how can I give 1 us delay to the GPIO pin properly using IDE code?
