Hello,I'm using the Unicode::snprintfFloat function with the '#' flag, which should add a decimal point even if there are not decimals. This works fine in 4.21.3, but not anymore in 4.22.0. The decimal point (.) is not written to the buffer anymore [ASCII '46']).As example here is the code from your documentation:Unicode::UnicodeChar buffer[20]; Unicode::snprintfFloat(buffer, 20, "%#6.f", 3.14159f); // buffer=" 3."Results:4.21.3: " 3." (as expected) &
Hello!I bought a new STM32F469 discovery kit and wanted to test it. since there was no initial program installed (checked by connecting with the USB port) I tried to launch one of the demonstrations from the firmware package over STMCubeIDE (Vers. 1.10.1). Generating the project with STMs import function did not work correctly so I read the readme file and did all the neccessary steps with STM32CubeProgrammer. after correctly erasing and flashing both internal and external flash of the discovery board with the apropriate file (tried both STM32CubeDemo_STM32F469I-Disco_1.3.0.hex and STM32469I-Disco_Demo_V1.2.0_FULL.hex), I tried to launch the program by reseting the processor. Sadly , some images are not displayed correctly. I also tried compiling and debugging the appropriate demonstration project in STM32CubeIDE after the manual programming but nothing changes. Please see attached images of the problem:I must say I find it quite frustrating, that STM32 graphic projects with the discov
Hello everyone, I have a big problem with the hardware. I designed the hardware before dealing with the Cubemx. Starting from a circuit that worked, I mistakenly thought that giving the system RGB666 from RGB888 meant giving bits 0 to 6 R0...R6, G0..G6, B0..B6. I then connected the two bits of the display R0, R1, G0, G1, B0 B1 to ground, as shown in the figure. But I have the problem that everything is wrong. Is it possible to remap LTDC so I can see everything properly? Thanks for your help.
Hi there !I start to work with touchgfx 4.21.1 and i create my first program. I use (is the first time) STM32CubeIde i compile the program and everythingh work but when i try to download to my nucleo borard i receive this error message . I searc in internet i try a lot of stuff but without success . Please some one can help me ? Thanks a lot Sergio
I have been working on a project for many months now with TouchGFX v4.20. I was modifying some of the text strings I had defined in TouchGFX Designer and now the texts/TextKeysAndLanguages.hpp is no longer being generated. When trying to start the simulator I see that it says something about an unexpected character (see below output). This is halting any work I can do with TouchGFX anybody ever experience this??Run SimulatorGenerateDoneGenerate Assetsmake -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8Reading ./application.configUnexpected character at -~Cleaning generated files from generated/texts and generated/fonts.
I changed the 4.3" 480*272 display on the stm32f746-disco board. The new display is a 7" 800*480. I modified the resolution from code and also from TouchGFX project.Everything is working fine. However the screens are displayed like if they are pressed from top and bottom. To explain more. A prefect circle on the designer is displayed as an oval shape on the display. Please see the images attached. Notice how the circle turns into an oval when displayed on the screen.I need to solve this issue. Is this addressable by code or its a display problem?
I have stm32f769i discovery card. I want to install a 7 inch 800px 480px screen on this card instead of a 4 inch 800e 480 screen. What adjustments need to be made for this?I can change the resolution via cubemx but I don't know how to do it for inch.
I have implemented a keyboard and I am trying to keep the text that I have input in to the text areas when I switch between screens. I have read about MVP on the official touchGFX website and I have also watched some tutorials about it and I still don't quite understand how this "mechanisem" works and how to implement it.Could someone please explain it in a simpler way to me?
The last time, admittedly a while ago, I tried creating a touchGFX project. It didn't work. Nothing would link or compile properly. Most of the included files/referenced files could not be found.I used CubeMXIDE, while including the TouchGFX files and trying to make it an ordinary project. That didn't work. One problem I remember is that one thing (TouchGFX?) needed to be compiled under root and Cube MX did not. Or vice versa. The only way I found to get anything working was to use the TouchGFX tools to combine an existing program. Using CubeMX did not work at all. Before I try to make TouchGFX working, has this been solved? Is there a way to simply encorporate the TouchGFX files in a standard CubeMXIDE project?
HelloI configured touchgfx cache for sdram and my dual framebuffers are in sdram. I change the blockcopy function to read the sd card and write to the destination address. The Bitmap::cacheall() function works fine, but then my code gets stuck in takeframebuffersemaphore(). My touchgfx version is 4.22.0, my chip is stm32f429zi and I enable DMA2D and LTDC interrupts. When I configure the cache address on the internal RAM, everything is ok!When I disable the cache and at the beginning of the code just copy the entire bitmaps from the sd card to the sdram (specified in the ld. file), everything is fine in this scenario as well.
Is it necessary to set up the cache somehow? If so, how do I do this?
Will the TouchGFX and STM Cube IDE let me work with SSD1306 devices? If so how much memory space will I need per image and overall space to run it? The images will be 128x64 pixels. Which range of ST microcontrollers can be used for this? The labels allowed for this post were not relevant, so ignore the "EEPROM devices"
Hello,I want to use TouchGfx in a Non-Secure TrustZone context. I would like to know:1. Is it possible in the first place?2. Is there any example project for this around?3. I have created a TrustZone example for my development board using CubeIDE and managed to get it to work; same for a sample TouchGfx application using TouchGfx Designer + CubeIDE. Now, I would like to merge the TouchGfx application into the Non-Secure sub project of the TrustZone project. It does not seem that straightforward. It seems modifying ioc file of the TrustZone project and adding TouchGfx middleware and all prerequisites ( like LTCD, pin out, etc. ) does not generate appropriate code. Is this the way to go? Is there any guideline how to do? Thanks in advance and Best Regards,
Hi,For a POC, we want to connect a MIPI screen with resolution of 1280x720 but the datasheet of the STM32H747XI states "LCD-TFT controller up to XGA resolution".XGA resolution is 1024x768.Is this max resolution is a hardware limitation (due to memory or bandwith) or this can be overcome with some drawbacks (as lower framerate for example) ?
Hello there,I have a problem with a stuck TouchGFX task. When the fault occurs, the TouchGFX task uses almost 100% CPU time and completly prevents lower priority tasks from executing. It seems to be stuck at a DMA transfer, altering between LockFreeDMA_Queue::isFull() and DMA_Interface::addToQueue()How to cause the faultI'm using a FreeRTOS queue which is emptied in the model tick function. The queue content decides whether an (cached) image should be displayed or not. To simulate a high TouchGFX task usage (~50%), about 50 different images (60x60 pixel), some text and some widgets will be changed every 25 ms. Within two hours the TouchGFX task will get stuck.Do you have an idea how to solve this, an workaround or any other help? I appreciate any answer - if you need further informations please ask.Additionaly system information:TouchGFX 4.20CubeIDE 1.10.1STM32H725IGTDebug trace is alternating between these two functions when the TouchGFX task is executed
Hello everyone,I was wondering if there are some things that can be implemented in TouchGFX. I have implemented a project using TouchGFX, but then I want to implement another project that should depend on the first project.I want to make the colours of the text, backgrounds and buttons customisable by allowing the owner to make the changes through the second application and create the .bin file and write it to the MCU.I have already implemented the button and background colours using photos for the colours and this has already simplified this feature by pushing the new photos to the appropriate memory address. But the problem is with the text colours, because the project contains different texts with different colours. The project also contains 3 different languages. So you can imagine the amount of text so far. So I'm asking: is it possible to implement these features or not?If anyone has an idea I would be very grateful...Kind regardsMahdi
Hi,I'm working on a screen where in I need to display both down timer (using text box) and a line progress bar.I want the progress bar to fill along with the down timer.Example : Lets say my timer is running down for 10 seconds, I want the line progress to complete filling within 10 seconds. Can somebody please suggest how this can be achieved?I feel passing the right value to setvalue will be the solution for this issue.ProgressBar.setValue(tick + 1);ProgressBar.invalidate();Please guide.
Hi, I have a question about the entering character in the TouchGFX Designer.I want to realize character input by flick operation like a smartphone, but I can't find it on the demo screen. When entering characters, is there only a way to place one button per character?
I am using an STM32L4R9 driving a 2.1 inch display with double buffering. I have many screens with widgets, direct transitions between them work fine. I have just started using a wipe transition. Occasionally streaked lines briefly appear (the screen tears?) at the start of the wipe. This seems to happen if there has been a direct transition shortly before (a few seconds) the slide transition. As though there are some buffer updates happening when the wipe starts but I am not initiating any screen changes. I have just upgraded to TouchGFX 4.22.0 and the problem remains. Any ideas?
Hi,i am creating a new project on TouchGFX Designer. when i choose the option "Landscape" for the display orientation and create an image as a background the run the app on the STM32 board i get this visual(see attached files). it seems like the board dosn't reset the previous visual when using the option "Portrait" and when i change the option it will shift the image. Can you please help me to resolve this issue? thanks in advance
[STM32CubeMx 6.8.0 / TouchGfx 4.22]Hi all,I am trying to configure the LTDC as TouchGfx application tick source but the CubeMX won't let me even if the LTDC is enabled.Any ideas? Is there anything else that I should check?I have already working code from other projects that I could manually integrate but then every time we regenerate the code it will be overwritten. Thanks,
I am using a custom STM32H743BIT6 board connected to a 480x272 display. I have implemented several software products with this hardware and are working fine. The issue I am having is I am trying to use the Animated Image for the first time. After compiling code the images selected scroll as expected. However depending on the images I select for the First Image and Last Image I get a red box around the image in TouchGFX and the Simulator button becomes inactive. When hovering over the Start Simulator button it provides the message "Can't run Simulator". It does generate code in the TouchGFX environment and compiles in the CubeIDE without error or warning. The red box around the image in TouchGFX is indicating some type of error but I have not been able to find anything what it might be nor requirements for the images selected. It makes no difference if the images are used else ware or not.Additionally if I select the same image that is causing th
Hi, I am currently trying to implement QRCode from qr-code-generator-library to display it on STM32F429I-DISC1 with TouchGFX. When I run it in the simulator on TouchGFX simulator it runs normally, but when I run it on the board it only shows whitescreen. after I see the debug results there is an error which I believe is from the heap screen storage. can anyone help me ?
Hello guys, I have a question. I am using touchgfx. When I use the while loop in my Model.Cpp file, the application stops. It does this without entering the while loop. Can't use loops in Model.Cpp? Do you have any knowledge about this topic?
hi all, I need to highlight an item in a scrolllist using two buttons that start scrolling up and down. I managed to implement the routine but I have problems as soon as the system passes into the area of the list that is not yet displayed. Does anyone have any advice? these are the two code elements that allow the transition with simplicity (even if not 100% functional) void ProdManagerScreenView::shiftCurrentDrowerUp(void){ if(selectedDrowerItem>0){ selectedDrowerItem--; HighlItem--; scrollList10.animateToItem(selectedDrowerItem,-1); clearDrowerSelection();//THIS CLEAR OLD SELECTED HilightLineDrowerSelection(0,HighlItem);//HIGHLIGHT NEW ONE scrollList10.invalidate(); //scrollList10.initialize(); }// } // void ProdManagerScreenView::shiftCurrentDrowerDw(void){ selectedDrowerItem++; if(selectedDrowerItem<scrollList10.getNumberOfItems()){ HighlItem++; //SE SI, ANIMA TUTTO IN PASSI DI 1 scrollList10.animateToItem(selectedDrowerItem,-1); //scrollList10.initia
