As described in your help center, I configure my canvasBuffer in my main.cpp. As I have a quite important requirement, I put it in a specific section of my internal RAM memory. However, the designer seems to override this in all my viewBase files with a 3600 buffer size, and not in my reserved section anymore of course, which is a problem. In the designer, when a screen is selected, on the right, there is an option to overwrite the canvasBuffer (quite new option ? I do not really remember it). However, those option are unchecked on all screens, and still defined in the viewBase files. Is there any way to avoid that and keep using my dedicated memory located region for it ?
Is it possible to override a ScrollList so that list scrolling is controlled by a separate widget? This separate widget is on the same screen as the ScrollList, but is outside of the ScrollList. I would still like to be able to use normal press & release on the Items inside the ScrollList. In other words, I do not want to allow the user to scroll the ScrollList by dragging on the ScrollList itself. If that is possible, exactly what would need to be overridden to accomplish that?
Hi everyone,I am design a scroll list which has a button each item. How can I know item number when clicked a button?thanks in advance.
Hi,Having tested all the examples from the STM32F7 package for the STM32F769 Discovery kit, I started to write my own project from scratch. For thios, the starting point is the STMCubeMX tool.So far, everything went well till I reached the point of the LCD. I cannot get it working. I compared the generated code with the one of the BSP. It is similar except inthe initialization sequencethe value of some configured timings, that STMCubeMX does not allow to set as in the BSPHas anyone any experience and advices to get a LCD working from a STMCubeMX project ?Thanks in advance.Regards.
We have an application with several screens. When I compile my application with optimization 0, then changing screens from one to another is no problem. But when I compile my application with optimization 1, then changing screens causes that application ends in the hardfault_handler. Is there anything that should considered when using optimization.
Hi, I am very new on this touchgfx and smt32.I am now testing with Nextion display and Arduino with ktype sensors and infrared sensors and controlling several relays and switches. But i want to make things professional. So on internet i get on touchgfx and stm32.Can someone help me with the answers of the next questions:- i want to use 5" capacitive touch display.- i want to make may design with touchgfx designer and upload to touch display- which 5" display can i buy that i can connect to touchgfx designer to upload my design?- i want to be able to control my "220vac 4A relays" , "12vdc relays", 12v led switches, ktype sensors, Infrared temperature 4-20ma sensors etc.- what do i need to buy ( controller, relay sytems etc like arduino ) to build my controlling of my relays and sensors? Thanks advance.KRU. Hello,I'm working on a DCMI to USB video class converter which runs on a STM32L496. The image sensor is a custom grayscale level sensor developed by my institution. It is 640x480, 8 bit per pixel, however to simplify the things I configured the DCMI interface to select only 1 line out of two and same for the pixel (I use DCMI_LSM_ALTERNATE_2 and DCMI_BSM_ALTERNATE_2 during DCMI initialization). The problem is that when I monitor the image using VLC the image is weird (see below) and I can't find the source of the problem. What I see are two problems (that might be only one having two consequences):one pixel out of two is black the image looks folded on itselfIn fact you can see the tip of my fingers on the right of the image while the 'body' of the finger is in on the left, and when I move the hand I see these things overlapping.Another weird fact that might help finding issues is that if I configure the DCMI interface to sample one frame out of four (DCMI_CR_ALTERNATE_4_FRAME), it gener
Hello,It would be nice to have a callback with selected page id from the Swipe Container. Now there is no way to know which page is selected. I need to know this because some constant (outside swipe container) widgets are depended from selected page.
Platform: 469 DISCO boardCompiler: gccIDE: CubeMX 5.0.1 for code generation, AC6 for compilation, TouchGFX 4.10.0I created the application using the above mentioned tools. From the TouchGFX editor, I added a line widget. This works fine in simulation, but on hardware the TFT shows garbage. If I create project directly from TouchGFX (without using CubeMX) and deploy to the board, the GUI works fine. Now, I looked the generated code from both the cases, TouchGFX only and CubeMX + TouchGFX combination. The generated code is vastly different. The major difference being the firmware package version. The code generated by TouchGFX uses a 4 years old version (V1.5.0) from Dec2015, and CubeMX uses the latest version (V1.23.0).There seems to be a disconnect between TouchGFX projects and CubeMX projects.I am not sure, how to go about setting up the development environment?Any help? How to go about this?Thanks,-Deven
Hello,I am trying to use a STM32F756 micro with the current CubeIDE and TouchGFX software. After setting up my micro in CUBEMX and generating code I attempt to build my project for debug but keep getting errors such as below:Description Resource Path Location Typefatal error: texts/TypedTextDatabase.hpp: No such file or directory TouchGFX line 23, external location: \STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.15.0\Middlewares\ST\TouchGFX\touchgfx\framework\include\common\TouchGFXInit.hpp C/C++ Problemmake: *** [Src/subdir.mk:85: Src/BoardConfiguration.o] Error 1 TouchGFX C/C++ Problemmake: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... TouchGFX C/C++ Problem*I have removed TouchGFX from the CUBEMX setup and have been able to build, it seems like there is a path that is not properly being setup. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?Thank you,
Hi,We will need to easily draw scientific graphs and scopes in our project, so I would like to know if there are or at least there are planned any libraries for TouchGFX to support this. Many advanced GUI design frameworks have such libraries but for TouchGFX I only find an abandoned old open Github repository:https://github.com/touchgfx/touchgfx-open-repositorySo is there any alternative? Thanks in advance,Anguel
Hi,I have a slider added on View. Also, my view overriders handleGestureEvent to handle it globally. Do you have any idea how to discard gesture event, when I quickly move slider?Same problem when My FrontendApplication overrides handleGestureEvent.
Hello,Why can't CustomContainers be created as 'ClickListener' objects? It's quite annoying as I'd like to create a ListLayout with clickable elements mainly through the studio and it seems the only way I can do it is through code as CustomContainers can't be made clickable… Is it an oversight when you designed the functionality or was it made on purpose? If the latter, why so?How can I circumvent this limitation to avoid having to do everything through lines of code? Thanks in advance.
I am trying to design a custom container which has a scroll well. This scroll wheel item template has a wildcard. When I add a Scroll Wheel and generate code, compiler generates same variables three time in CustomContainerBase.hpp file. Like below; /* * Wildcard Buffers */ static const uint16_t ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE = 5; touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar ElementTextBuffer[ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE]; static const uint16_t ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE = 5; touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar ElementTextBuffer[ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE]; static const uint16_t ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE = 5; touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar ElementTextBuffer[ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE];Because of that, compailer give error and I can't fix it. What can I do about that?Thank you for help.
hiwhen i add yellow line in custom container TouchGFX 4.10.0 Designer report error and when i remove the yellow line simulator run successfully
I've implemented a scroll list, following the documentation at https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/201785662-Tutorial-4-Creating-a-Scroll-Wheel-with-custom-behavior. Generally, it works. I have a function to update non-center items, and one to update center items. The problem is, when I slide the scroller, I get multiple calls to the "UpdateCenterItem" and UpdateItem" functions. The first call is to UpdateCenterItem with the itemIndex I expect. Then, not surprisingly, there are calls to UpdateItem. The strange thing is, UpdateCenterItem is called several times, with itemIndex values I don't expect, and these are not the ones shown as the center item on the GUI. Also, UpdateItem is called with the itemIndex that is the highlighted center item. It seems there are extra calls to these functions but they're not being updated on the GUI.If it was just the affect of the slider extending beyond moving 1 location, I could see multiple calls, but then the last time UpdateCenterItem i
I try to setup a GUI with the new CubeIDE and the TouchGFX confugurator. After 3 days of trying and solving errors (thanks to this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOs2LYO7wSA&t=119s) I am now able to build my program. The problem i have now is, that I am not able to upload the GUI to my discovery-board.I build my program and debug it as an STM32 Application but my screen remains black. Is there anybody who can support me?
Hello Everyone,I am testing the new Qt for MCU libraries on STM32F769I-DISCO. I should need of the original ST hex file flashed in STM32F769I-DISCO before shipment, I need it to do a fast comparation between Qt libraries and ST libraries. Is the a plase where I can download this file? Otherwise the souce file are available?Thank you,Alex
Hi, Currently I'm programming STM32H743 for application which is using LCD TFT Controller. I'm using custom board. All RGB data signal not generated but other signal generated for example LCD clock signal, VSYNC, HSYNC. Anyone know how to solve?
Hello,This question is mostly for @Martin KJELDSEN but thought it might be good for community. After reading mosts the post and watching the youtube videos would the safest way to implement touchgfx be going through the touchgfx designer and just using a text editor for specific implementations such as the method shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQO7zhX0e0Q?I am just using this framework for my senior project and so far am having the most success using this method. I haven't been able to get CubeIDE to work even with the various troubleshooting methods. The only downside is the generated FreeRTOS with touchgfx is V8.x.x. But that'll be easier to port/change since it should be a drop in replacement.
Hello,This is not a question - It is more of sharing a project.I ported the tutorial 4 to STM32CubeIDE V1.0.2 using V2.0.0 TouchGFX template.Tutorial 4 link:https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/201785662-Tutorial-4-Creating-a-Scroll-Wheel-with-custom-behaviorPlease find attached the project - It uses STM32F769I_DISCO.With regards,Badreddine
HiIs there a possibility to highlight an item from a ScrollList? My ScrollList contains only textAreas.I would like to highlight it with another background color and maybe change the font of the text.RegardsDejan
So i have gotten the LTDC working - sort of.I'm working off the app note 4861 which have an example on how to find the parameters for the display I'm using from datasheet.I'm using this display:https://www.buydisplay.com/default/low-cost-4-3-inch-480x272-tft-lcd-display-w-optl-capacitive-touch-screenThe datasheet is right here: https://www.buydisplay.com/download/manual/ER-TFT043-8_Datasheet.pdfand the controller chip for the display datasheet: https://www.buydisplay.com/download/ic/ST7282.pdfNow, my problem:I have this test imageI have created it using the lcd-image-converter mentioned in the app note (by the way - it is the one on sourceforge - it can be a bit hard to find)one thing that messed with me for a couple of days was the obvious fact that you HAVE to make your image the SAME size as the screen resolution - duh! I created the image in Inkscape and exported it wrong so I ended up with a size of 516*303 - pretty stupid!I changed that and this is my current image on my screen:I
Hello,I'm in the process of choosing a STM32 and determining whether an external SRAM/SDRAM is really needed for my application or not.The microcontroller will receive frames of pixels from a camera through SPI in L8 format (i.e 8bit grayscale images), and will have the main task of streaming these in RGB888 using the LTDC peripheral to another chip. A full RGB888 frame (= 24bpp) won't fit in the RAM of any STM32 because I'm working with 800x600 resolution. But there's a note at the very end of section 4.2.1 of AN4861 that had me think about the following idea: can I store the incoming 8bpp frame in the internal memory (800 x 600 x 1B = 480 kB so it fits if I have 512kB or even 1MB of RAM), and then have the CLUT generate the 24bpp frame without storing it at all, i.e with the LTDC directly outputting it as it is created? The reference manual for STM32F6xxx/STM32F7xxx (for example) seems to say it is not possible, as the CLUT, which is part of the DMA2D, is applied during a memory-to-me
So the STM32F769AI caught my attention since it seems to meet most of the requirements for my project. Now after doing some research into how the STM32 functions/operates, i would like to get some feedback on if my application would be feasible on the STM32F769AI.My goals is to receive data from a camera module, encode it into JPEG and stream the encoded data over wif using an external wifi module. I want to interface a camera module (Boson flir) which has the possibilty to spit out data in YCbCr, pixel clock of 27Mhz, using the DCMI capability. I have seen some examples which use RGB images as input and convert them into YCbCr to encode them into JPEG. Would it be possible to skip the RGB->YCbCr conversion since i am already receiving data in this format, and store it directly into mcu blocks to save calculation time? Im guessing this would probably require me to store a whole frame of input data first into some external ram, then run the whole frame through the codec? Also, would y
