Hello, I am working on a project where I need to render a computer screen over internet on an LCD controlled by STM32 MCU, like logging to a remote computer from your computer using teamviewer, SVN or remote desktop. The LCD I will use is 13.3inch with eDP 1.3 (30 pins) interface, I attached its datasheet. The remote computer runs GP-OS like windows, Linux, Mac or Android. The first important part of the project will use windows PC. 1- Could you suggest me a proper sdk or embedded software that I can run on a proper STM32 MCU (most probably F7) to render the remote computer like what teamviewer does between 2 computers.2- Should I interface the LCD directly to the MCU through edp interface (is it supported?) or use edp to dsi(which is supported by many st MCUs) converter for example. Thanks in advance!
Hello, I am trying to set up the correct cubemx parameters for the stm32f469i disco development board. I have used the stm32f769i disco cubemx set up found on the touch gfx resources as this has the same size display. The display is 800 wide and 480 height. The outcome of the setup leaves the display stretched to double the height. I have tried adjusting the LTDC parameters but cannot achieve better than the double height display. Is there cubemx information particular to this development board?
Hi,I'm struggling with a missing event in my application. As far as I can see, the touch HW is generating the touch event, the touch controller's "sampleTouch" method is signalling the event to the library correctly, the view is detecting the PRESSED and RELEASED events but the button on the view very often misses the RELEASED event on which I rely to handle the event.I have added debug messages to try an pinpoint the issue. The printout is attached with my comments. So, finally, my question is:How can I guarantee I catch the RELEASED event from the button?I'm currently using library version 4.9.3 running on a STM32F767 processor with a 320*240 touch display for which I have implemented the low level, it is not one of the evaluation boards. Thanks,Daniel
TouchGFX-4.12.3 Designer has bug in color select dialog.I cant select color.Dialog is closing immediately
Hi,We are developping a touchgfx project in team.We use github and each time we want to merge branch, we have a problem with touchgfx file and texts.xls file. How to develop as a team on touchgfx?Regards,Sébastien
I'm complete new for STM32L4R9 Disco. I found on the board, the PSRAM chip has two component marks U5 U6. But in its schematic, U5 and U6 are the independently chips. Also the OctoSPI flash on the board has two component marks U23 U24. Why?Indiationally, I want to using ToughGFX and STM32L4R9 with AMOLED to design a smart watch with a cool ui interface. I'm not sure how much RAM and flash memory need to design a huawei GT like watch. I know the huawei GT watch has 16M RAM / 128M rom inside it. Thanks for any response.

Hello all,I will replace Texts on a running device. I'm using a STM32F7 and a external Flash to store Texts, Fonts and Bitmaps. For different variants of the device, we have to replace some of these Texts, Fonts and Bitmaps in the production line. The problem is that the new text can be longer or shorter than the old text. Of that reason the address of each texts in the Flash are different.I'm looking for a solution to change texts and replace the start addresse of the Text section, on a running device. So here my questions:Where is the adresse of each Text ( or the text area ) defined ?How can I change the address ?Thanks for help
Hi TouchGFX Team, I am currently integrating TouchGFX on STM32F746NE custom board with TFT display of 800x480 resolution . I am using 24bit color depth. Currently facing two issues1. I see lot of jitters on screen when there is a screen update. I could avoid by increasing VSYNC and Vertical Porch timings. But that resulted in lower refresh rate and caused screen flickering. Is there a way in TouchGFX to use additional buffers to draw and avoid such jitters ?2. Second issue is object skewing, object appears perfectly fine on TouchGFX designer , but downloaded objects are skewed on y axis. What could be the root cause and How can I avoid this ?Please let me knowThanks & Best Regards,Sanjay
Hi,I updated TouchGFX Designer from 4.10.0 to 4.12.3, as well as STM32CubeMX to 5.4.0, with the idea to check the ability to keep the link between the generated application and CubeMX.All my former test projects (actually the tutorials) now failed to run correctly.A new simple project (like the Tutorial 2) has been created from scratch in the designer. Same behavior :Using the "Run on target" button from the designer, the application starts with the left half side of the screen scrambled. As soon as a button is pressed, the screen recovers. When using IAR Embedded Workbench (8.20.1), the application runs correctly, at least from the point of view of the IAR debugger. But the screen remains dark with fuzzy pale area (allowing to recognize some properties of the expected screen). So far, I did not investigate further. I had to downgrade the designer to the 4.10.0 version. But for sure, the STM32F769 Discovery kit cannot work anymore with TouchGFX 4.12.3.Did someone get some experiences with
Hi!I was trying GFXdesigner and this happened to me, I tried different ways to find out the questions but no clue yet, it could be something wrong with the pictures? Then what should I do with them? Here is the detailed log:Run Simulator Generate Done Generate Assets make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 Error: assets/images/Thumbs.db not supported by image converter generated/simulator/gcc/Makefile:225: recipe for target 'images' failed make[1]: *** [images] Error 1 make: *** [assets] Error 2 simulator/gcc/Makefile:32: recipe for target 'assets' failed Failed FailedLooking forward to your answer!Br,Devin
I have followed the instructions in the following link:https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203563972-Display-OrientationIt gives instructions for portrait orientation for the target (via editing BoardConfiguration.cpp) , Simulator (via via editing the simulator's main.cpp file), and the TouchGFX Designer (via editing the project file).I believe the instructions are not up-to-date (especially for the Designer).TouchGFX Designer:Swapping the Width and Height values in touchgfx project file did not put the Designer in portrait mode. I also needed to change the "DisplayOrientation" to "Portrait" (in the touchgfx project file) :"LandscapeSkinX": 0, "LandscapeSkinY": 0, "PortraitSkinX": 0, "PortraitSkinY": 0, "DisplayOrientation": "Portrait"TouchGFX SimulatorThe simulator did function correctly in portrait when adding the following to its main.cpp file:HAL::getInstance()->setDisplayOrientation(ORIENTATION_PORTRAIT);However, items are distorted on the simulator:This is what
I'm looking to create a user interface that will allow my customers to modify their displays at run time, but I don't want to make it by default. I'd like to be able to have the users first toggle an edit button before allowing them to modify the position of controls/widgets.I see that it's actually a different class that is chosen at design time. Also, would there be a way to allow users to choose from a list of widgets at run-time?I'm trying to make a very user custom UI, and it many not be easy. For example, I may have 2-3 widgets that display one piece of data, I'd like to have all three widgets included at run time, but allow the user to chose between the three.
I went thtough the process of creating a simple ToughGFX example with the STMCubeIDE-TouchGFX Designer toolchain. I am doing this for the STM 32F469 Discovery bpard. In the STM Cube section i made sure ToughGFX is enabled, i selected the correct interface (serial) and used the correct reset pin PH7 and made sure i have the correct screen size 800x480. The project compiles without errors. When i debug it on the board i get a repeating noise pattern. See attached picture.I did the same exersize for the STM32F746-disco board and that works fine. (with different settings of course). what am i missing? Thanks,Eddy
HiDoes anyone know if the DebugPrinter is still available in current version (see Link)?. I tried to implement it but it looks like LCD16DebugPrinter isn't available anymore. If it is still available, how can I use it?ThanksMarco
Is there a specific example of using rtc on touchgfx in its own projects? I am using STM32F746-Disco and I can't use rtc in my project. Can anyone help and publish some functional steps? I'm certainly not the only one to help. Thank you very much.
Hi,I'm using the STM32H750 Discoveryboard. When running my code from TouchGFX Designer, everything works fine. But when running with Keil IDE, something strange is happening:-Flashing the application and loading with the debugger -> hard fault occurs in funtion crc_lockIf I unplug and replug the board, the application starts just fine. Only when connected to the debugger, the hard fault occurs.Do you have any hints?__HAL_RCC_CRC_CLK_ENABLE is being called, so that shouldn't be a problemThanks.
I have an issue with the vertical scrolling on the LCD. The video is not being stable on the screen. LCD resolution is 480*272.Camera Decoder used ADV7180.Source is from Camera which is interfaced with DCMI interface.I have attached the Video , Please point me where exactly I am going wrong.
We recently upgraded from TouchGFX v4.8 to v4.10. Our calibration was working perfectly with v4.8 but it suddenly began to fail consistently after we upgraded to v4.10. After spending two days researching this issue I think that I may have found an issue with the TouchCalibration::setCalibrationMatrix function provided by TouchGFX v4.10. Since I don't have access to the source of setCalbrationMatrix all I can give you is a simple explanation of our method and the results from v4.8 and v4.10 as comparison. We use 3 points to do the initial calibration. They are: {160,240}, {300,384}, and {640,150). We capture the adc values each time the user hits each of those points and then we pass both the touch point values and the adc values to the TouchCalibration:setCalibrationMatrix function. Once this is done we ask the user to tap once more on another point to verify that the calibration is correct. The touch point for that verification point is {400,240}. This worked reliably on v4.8 but with
Hello,I'm trying to use the STemWin library with a STM32F0. My screen controller is the ST7565P and I want to use the Page1bpp driver but the header file is not in the include of the library provided by ST.I saw in the STemWin536 documentation that the controller is compatible (33.7.16).Do you know if it's possible to use STemWin on a STM32F0 with this controller ?Thank you.
Hi , When I am learning TouchGFX knowledge base article "Events?,https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205983181-Events,I want to see another article "For details, please see the article Timer events and periodic ticks ..." , after I click this link that it jump to a page only show " oopsYou're not authorized to access this page" ... How can i get the authority to access this page or where can i find this article ' Timer events and periodic ticks '.. Thanks!
Excuse me if this question has been answered, but I have searched the community and didn't find an answer. When I set a breakpoint in the STM32CubeIDE 1.1.0 debugger, it does break at that breakpoint. But if I "Resume", the debugger comes right back to that breakpoint, not advancing past that point. In order to advance, I need to remove the breakpoint. Is this because of the interrupts, RTOS, or the framework (TouchGFX)?Is there a way to change this behavior?
Is it possible to avoid using snprintf in TouchGFX. Is there any alternate method available to copy values in the buffer and display it without using snprintf.
Hi all,I`m trying to decode jpg with JPEG Codec, and I reference the sample code from CubMX Official code { JPEG_DecodingUsingFs_DMA }, then inserted to my code. And now it stocks in this function:do { JpegProcessing_End = JPEG_OutputHandler(&JPEG_Handle); }while(JpegProcessing_End == 0);I have checked the SDRAM & HAL_JPEG_MSP setting, and nothing wrong .By the way, it`s a little similar from :https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BBqYgrSQF/jpeg-codec-decoding-does-not-endcomplete, but I use this { JPEG_DecodingUsingFs_DMA } project with SDMMC.Can anyone help with this? Thanks!
I'm pretty new to STM32 & TouchGFX. I'm building a device based on the STM32H743 with 8MB SDRAM & either 64 or 128MB QSPI FLASH. I will also embed a 2GB uSD card for extra storage. My initial idea is to have a few skins available and stored as extra data on the QSPI FLASH and additional ones that could be downloaded by users and then have the function that return that images diverted to the area & offset to the additional skin. I'd also probably need to address text color and screen backgrounds.
