Question

is it possible to connect a camera to STM32L4R9I-EVAL board? if so how and what camera module ?

I will look at a board later, highlights say it has 8 to 14 bit DCMI, but don't recall it shipping with one or using STs header like other EVAL boards.​

Only mention of camera in front-page paragraph, no other headers or reference to DCMI.

You could perhaps go over the expansion pin headers for DCMI pins, but heavier lift than I'm up for.

@Imen DAHMEN​ @Amel NASRI​ can you check the manuals and landing page to see if the camera reference has any additional support, or just from other EVAL board docs.

Hello @vini​ ,

On the STM32L4R9I-Eval board, we do not have a dedicated connector for the camera. So, it required to check the DCMI pins/alternate function and added manually a module supported a parallel camera interface.

The AN5020 “Application note Digital camera interface (DCMI) for STM32 MCUs�?, mentioned some camera modules that are compatible with the STM32 DCMI, as ArduCAM.
